This kindle is excellent. As I use Amazon for some of my reading, it virtually set itself up. So easy to set up and my books were downloaded onto it, so easy to use. Also small enough to go in my handbag. Easy to hold. Screen very clear. Fantastic item.

I love this kindle, it’s really light and easy to hold. The screen is perfect size and the quality of the writing is just perfect! It’s really simple to use and just has a few settings you can play around with. The kindle unlimited is also really worth getting. I’ve already read 2 books and this kindle and am honestly so happy with it!

i never thought myself to ever use a kindle before, i love the feel of a physical book too much - that’s what i thought.to sum it up; this device is absolutely incredible and is 10/10 in every way.i love bringing books on the go but sometimes you want to bring many stories with you especially going on a holiday or travelling with heavy books.with a kindle you can store thousands - and i mean THOUSANDS - of books in a tiny device which is lightweight and less heavy than just one book or two.the screen is amazing and like paper , it lives up to the name.the buttons are easy to control like tapping in and out of pages, being able to use it at the pool and beach without the fear of damages is just spot on incredible - especially as it’s waterproof: resistant . the colour is sleek and not easy to be scraped , the service of amazon are so helpful and being able to buy books at an instant especially as i’m impatient is just so useful. the sales are amazing and easy to get books for cheaper…and so much more, the kindle paper white impresses in every way and more than you can even imagine. it’s 100% worth it for the price; you’ll save so much in the long term and it’s so powerful and easy to use . accessible and amazing. this device does it all! hits all the spots…!

Christmas has come early.We have been using Kindles since they first came out, and we are a great fan of e-reader.In our opinion this is the e-reader to rule them all.We didn’t upgrade to the last generation, as we were waiting for our old ones to pass on - they didn’t, despite all the abuse we gave them. So we can’t say how much better this is than the last version but compared to earlier ones, the improvement is outstanding.Set up was very easy for both of us. Update the Kindle app for your phone, and enable “Amazon Device Simple Set-up” in the apps setting. Switch on the Kindle, set language and country and select set up from phone. Job done. One Kindle picked up the WiFi password from a stored one on Amazon, while my wife’s one needed the password entered (this took three attempts, and got an odd failed message on the Kindle for the first two times). Pretty much totally painless and took about five minutes each.The display is flawless. Just like a printed book. Even under a magnifying glass the font looks good, and small font display is outstanding. Pinch zoom in/out for font size is very responsive, just slightly shy of active led displays like iPads etc. The backlight is very even and makes reading in the dark a joy.However, the speed improvement of the device it the feature that makes you weep for joy. Searches appear like magic, switching in the library between All and Downloaded no long makes you think the device has crashed. Pressing the home key works without the five minute wait (I exaggerate a little). Even Goodreads actually displays without an hour long wait, and personalised recommendations appear appear like fairy dust.Finally, opening a book, is less than a second - brilliant or what?I can’t testify to battery life, given that it is supposed to be a month, but I don’t doubt it will be anything other than outstanding given the past performance of our old Kindles. Also, joy of joys, gone are the rubbish power connectors that only go in one way. Hurrah for USB-C power connectors, and we can use our Ipad leads and chargers too, when on holiday.So, if you are in any doubt, just get one, it’s great. The only other choice would be if you use audible books and want more storage; but if you just read books, you are never going to fill up 8GB of memory.

Very light and good quality, the screen feels very easy on the eyes. There is a small amount of lag when it first wakes up but this doesn't impact the experience at all. The battery life is fantastic.
