Midori Green Chili Sriracha Sauce by Musashi Foods (2 Pack)

I got the stuff for my fiance who is in love with red sriracha. He has been using this quite a bit instead so I think he's enjoying the new flavor.

Ok. I was skeptical when I read about this green sriracha sauce. How could anything be better than the red one I have loved and used for years and years? Well, this sauce is a Japanese spin on the classic and is just incredible. I took one taste and logged back onto Amazon literally two minutes later and ordered the 6 pack, because I knew one or two bottles would not last long enough. The Serrano peppers add the perfect spice and there are some other notes that are hard to describe, but both my wife and I fell in love immediately.If you are wondering, yes, buy it. Don't even second guess or hesitate. Just get it. You won't regret it. It really is as good as you want it to be.In fact even better!

I've tried a lot of sriracha brands and none were ever as good as the original Tuong Ot made by Huy Fong Foods in California (with the rooster on the bottle) . . . until I tried this Musashi Midori version. This is now my hands down favorite. My sister put it in my stocking last Christmas and when it ran out I looked it up on line and found the nearest store that sold it was 100 miles from me. But fortunately it can be ordered through Amazon. Hooray for Amazon and Musashi Midori sriracha!

Glad I took a bit to read others' reviews - they were the encouragement I needed to give this stuff a try. Glad I did! It's a tad mellow (sweet if anything) starting out but boy oh boy does it pack a kickin' bit of heat that creeps up on ya! I love it. Have tried it on rice, burritos, grilled cheese, pizza. It's mmmm mmmm good!

we all really just did not like the taste. we absolutely love the normal sriracha though

It tastes good. I notice that serrano chilis are used instead of the jalapenos in the more famous red sriracha. That might explain the slight increase in heat. Ordered on 5/28 and it arrived on 5/31. And it was via USPS which I appreciate. I find USPS very reliable to my area, and I want to keep it going. So I appreciate vendors who have found USPS to be less expensive and fast.

Love it. LOVE IT. The serranos make for a delightfully different flavor from the Rooster Sauce. There's plenty of food items that will remain doused/mixed/sauted/marinated with the Sriracha we all know and love; but this green Midori stuff is just fantastic! Slightly spicier, more pepper tasting, and generally thicker than the red stuff; I find it exceptionally good on eggs and meat. I'll probably order the 6 pack next time.

I thought I'd get some of this into our office to shake things up a bit as people around here practically drink sriracha sauce. This green kind is soooo good! It's a tad spicier than the Other Brand, and it tastes...well, green. In a good way. It's kind of hard to describe, but I can say it's good on everything! I will definitely be ordering more.
