General Pencil Quilters Survival Kit

Tested all four pencils on a scrap. The two chalk pencils work great - the lines rub off, wash off completely. The other two pencils are a no go! The yellow has printed on the pencil "insoluble" - which means it won't dissolve. The yellow does not come out. Period. Not even with the stain remover. The silver pencil was just as bad - much like pencil lead, it doesn't wash off easily at all. So, the kit was half wonderful, half horrible!If you're a quilter - - test first on scrap so you don't ruin your quilt!!

As someone who didn't have any of these items before, this is a handy little kit. I have a gotten a lot of use out of it already in my sewing projects. Haven't tried the stain off yet, but the sharpener works and all three pencils are usable. Eraser pen is handy, but does depend on the fabric you are marking if the pencil comes out easily.

The pencils in this set are what I bought it for. Compared to other quilting/fabric marking pencils, these are superb. Sharpen nicely - others crack and fall apart when sharpening and crumble when trying to use them - so frustrating. Nice strong lead - quality pencils. I highly recommend.

Nice pack of quilters pencils and other accessories. The lead does keep breaking of every time I sharpen, which has been annoying. But that said I don't know if that has to do with the fact that I am using a different sharpener than the one provided

The pencils allow marking on fabric colors that would be difficult with just one color of pencil.

For marking fabrics. Wonderful selection of pencils that will mark nearly every type of fabric imaginable!How did I get by so long without these tools?!The pencil marks show up brightly on my fabrics and the sharpening tools are excellent. Every sewist and quilter should have a set of these tools.
