Big Boost for Tiny Audio Signals... and CHEAP!
This worked perfectly for my purpose, and for under two dollars shipped, I couldn't make it myself for less.I'm going to guess the people complaining about distortion have too big a signal going in.I used it to amplify a 700 Hz tone oscillator I made to practice morse code. With out this amp, I could barely detect audio from a speaker. With this amp between the oscillator output and the speaker, my kids yell, "turn it down!". The on-board variable resistor works great for just that purpose. I didn't play anything other than the tone thru this thing, but it sounds loud and clear to me. No complaints.If you have a spare 4-pin computer audio cable lying around, it fits perfectly over the 4 pins. Use the 4 pins for power and signal input, the green screw terminal is your audio output.
