My Little Golden Book About Johnny Appleseed

Great book about the legendary Johnny Appleseed. It has awesome illustrations by Genvieve Godbount. It’s a quick read with a nice synopsis about his life and death, why he did what he did, and the lasting, positive impact he has had for generations. My 1st grader loves it!

I read it to a class of kindergarteners and it really captured their interest. They had recently visited an apple orchard on a school trip so this tied in perfectly. The pictures were really cute. They were 1950s retro style.

My grand girls are first graders and avid readers. They enjoy reading the stories. I added several books recently Ruth Bader Ginsberg, Martin Luther King and The White House. They happen to be discussing M.L. King day and they were able to participate after reading their Golden Book.

Great story with good illustrations. My four and two year old children loved it. Book arrived on time and was in new condition.

Sweets, simple book that tells the story at an age-appropriate level. For use in a couple of Sunday School classes for ages 3-6, to supplement some Johnny Appleseed activities.

A picture book biography of Johnny Appleseed.This book does a good job of summarizing Johnny Appleseed's life and mission while also mentioning that tall tales grew up around the man. The illustrations are soft and warm, giving this a cozy feel. A good read when talking about ways you can help others or for apple season.

Golden Books does an excellent job of taking historical figures like Johnny Appleseed and turning them into simple tales that young children can embrace. Illustrations are great and my grandchildren ask me to read it again and again.

This little book was full of great facts! It was easy for my 2nd graders to understand and use for research purposes.
