I'm really pleased with this light. It does exactly what it says does & does it very well.The unit is well made - the plastic is good, 'heavy' plastic & feels like it will last.The battery compartment opens & closes easily, has two reassurung 'clicks' when in place.The two adjusters for the direction of the light are also well designed & easy to operate.The movement detection is sensitive, it stays on constantly as long as there's movement. The light goes off after about 20-30 seconds after the last movement detected.I have also bought rechargeable batteries to go in this to avoid batteries going to landfill & also as it is cheaper to run the light in the long term.I have a 'garage' (IE overlarge old shed type outbuilding!) approx 12 feet wide, 25-30 ft long & this light will provide good light in this space. The edges are less well light, but the main circle of light is large & covers a great area.The alternative for me was to get mains electricity installed which would have cost IRO £450 as there was thick concrete between the house & garage, which the electrician would have needed to dig a deep trench in to lay the cable, etc etc.This light is good enough for my occassional forays into the garage in winter months to avoid that bill!I just need enough light to get my bike in & out or to be able to pop in & fetch something.I'm really pleased with this unit & would definately recommend it.

I bought this product because I have don’t have any skills at DIY to install a mains electric light. It was easy to install ( I do have a drill and requires 3 holes drilling) and a very sensitive motion detector. Nice bright light with quite a good radius. It is perfect for lighting the front garden for the dark morning and evenings. I have just bought another one for my back garden.

Mr Beams have become my number one choice since buying one of their products at a lightning deal. In fact it was the back version of this same item.The durable, high quality materials used really exceeded my expectations. I was also surprised by the bulk of this light! Yet it has to house 4 D Cell batteries.I mounted the black version one in my back garden, due to the fact that the colour did not match the facade of my drive in. I am so glad that the white is on offer at lightning deal (pity I can only buy one, yet it is only fair that deals should be available this way)Pros:- Top notch build quality- Very bright light thanks to the new LEDs which are more powerful with no impact on battery life.- Wireless. Can use rechargeable D cell batteries (which I highly recommend)- Battery life is exceptional. ( Yet you will want to place the unit in an easily accessible location). If mounted on a facade to light up doorway, some testing is required as to get the correct angle. You would want to avoid unnecessary triggering caused by passers by.- Truly weatherproof design. We have had torrential rain, and the unit still functions perfectly.- Very easy to install.- Deterrent for would be thieves. And I rate this as a key selling factor.- Remains functional in the unlikely event of a power outage.Cons:- Wireless design might not appeal to all.Bottom line: I really like Mr Beams lights as they are really the best on the market. I highly recommend the MB380 for those looking for a wireless, effective solution.

Bought this after some punk stole a part off my scooter. My garage is pitch black at night (as seen in the first photo) so I needed something to scare them away next time.For 20 pounds I'm pretty happy. I found some D cell batteries on offer, 4 for 2,5 pounds so it came out cheap for now.The light is fairly bright. You surely can see what you're doing in the dark, although I would have liked it if it was a bit brighter but I guess it would drain the batteries faster. The colour of the light is white with a mild bluish tint compared to bright white lights.The sensitivity of the sensor is mediocre. I have it installed, as seen in the photo, about 4 meters away from my bike and it isn't sensitive enough. Sometimes, after it detects motion and comes on, when it goes off again I move my arm in the air or shift my body for it to come back on and it doesn't come on 50% of the time. Also I'd like it if there was a timer to choose how long it would stay on for.I've only had it for 2 weeks so I'll wait and see how long the batteries will last with about 5 activations a day.

Exactly what I needed to light up the steps from the house, very pleased,works a treat.

Was looking for a light that wasn't mains powered. Solar lights didn't look powerful enough, so I though I would order this, as the reviews were very good. It is excellent, the motion detection is very good, and it is really bright. So easy to install too. I would highly recommend this light, and would not hesitate to buy again.

Really good light for night security and vision

Muy buenas, las compre en una oferta que daban un pack de tres y por ahora son muy útiles, cada una es suficiente para iluminar una plaza de garaje standart, eso si, tened en cuenta que cada foco lleva 4 pilas de las grandes.

I hang this light above our rubbish bins and it works beautifully for far. A strong and focused bean that covers a 2x2m area. I like it.

I've tried other motion lights and they all seem to have issues. They might not work, are cheaply made, or I can never get the settings just right. This is my first Mr. Beams product and I must stay that it is it works, is nicely made, and has no settings (which in my opinion is good). Pop the batteries in and your done. I installed it under the porch facing out into a dark corner of the yard. I waited until dark to see if it would pick me up and to make adjustments. Thankfully it worked well. I would say that it is probably picking me up between 15-20 feet away. The light is pretty good for a battery operated one and is really puts a shine on that dark area of the yard. Installation was easy but I had trouble with the screws that it came with. They are a bit cheap and my screwdriver ate them up...even with a pre-drilled hole. I liked the fact that this thing doesn't have any settings on it. I've had bad experiences and long hours in the night trying to figure out some of these things with their obscure setting requirements. If it is dark...and you move in front of it...the thing will just come on. Simple as that. It does have to be dark for it to work...so make sure you put it in an area that the sensor will not be affected. It stays on for about 30 seconds when it picks up movement and will continue to stay on if the movement persist. I'm pretty pleased with it and plan on getting another one. I recommend!
