Expensive for what it is
This looks like a really good watering can rose, it didn’t fit securely on any of my watering cans as the inside is stepped so each ‘step’ was very short. Even though the can I use it on was the right size for the rose, I had to wrap Gorilla Tape around the spout to get a tight fit.The rose doesn’t perform well, a stream of water pours out making it useless for delicate watering.

Excellent quality but doesn't fit all watering cans
"Sheerness" and "thickness" are strange categories for rating a watering can rose , so I'll just try to describe it instead. This rose is beautiful quality, really solid and well made. Unfortunately it doesn't fit wither of my watering cans. If you have the sort commonly sold in supermarkets, with a very short and narrow neck, this rose will just fall off. You need a long and quite wide neck on your watering can to fit it. It wasn't very expensive and it seems pointless to put everything through the rigmarole of a return, especially when the suppliers are such a good company and easy to work with, so I'll just keep it and when I come to replace a watering can I'll get one to fit.

No use for slug nematodes
Very rigid plastic, I got the feeling that it might be old stock. The design doesn't really lend itself to 'one size fits all' - my watering cans are fairly standard and it only fits one of them. I bought it for applying slug nematodes but it was no good at all as the holes in the rose are too small and they clogged up immediately on first use.

Perfect
Perfect watering can rose.

Iffy Connection
The connection bit that attaches to the watering can itself, is very short and narrow. It just fitted on a watering can I had which had a very narrow spout, but all the time I used it, I was concerned it would fall off. Ironically it didn't even fit on the Hawes watering can I have.

Did not do what I needed
I researched the best coarse watering can rose for use with Nermatodes. The rose did not fit my watering can so I taped it on and tried to use it but the nematodes blocked the rose every time I tried to use it. I had to resort to just using the watering can as just a watering can. This was a complete waste of money!

Certainly a Course Rose for a Watering Can - but . . .
Needed a rose for a watering can that was as coarse as possible to allow a solution of nematodes (for ants) to be applied to my lawn, & this one is just about as coarse as you can get. In fact, for doing the job - getting the solution out of the watering can on to the lawn in a spray - it was ideal (finer roses get blocked up with the nematodes). However . . . along with other reviewers, the question has to be asked about the size of the neck on the rose, which is much larger than convential roses for watering cans, & so can't be used on a normal can, as it just falls off. One solution is to get a cheap can & cut the spout back to a point where the rose will grip; or (my method) broaden the spout diameter by wrapping double sided waterproof gorilla tape around, then making the rose joint secure with a bit more gorilla tape. It is secure enough to have done the job, & I have left the coarse rose permanently attached. This design shortfall is why it doesn't get a full set of 5 stars.

Works for me.
Fits my Haws 8 liter Slimcan snugly. This rose has three different size inside diameters stepped down, each step being about a half inch deep. The outer step is 1.075 inches dia, the middle step is 0.95 inches dia, the inner step is 0.80 inches dia. This rose appears to be designed to fit watering cans with spout outside diameters of 1-1/8 inches, 1 inch, and 7/8 inch. It is made of semi-flexible plastic with a brass face. The spray pattern is not as narrow as I was hoping - about a foot wide one foot from the nozzle. The stream is not suitable for seedlings. It take 20 seconds to drain one gallon of water, as opposed to 30 seconds for the Haws No. 350 rose that came with my 8 liter Slimcan. The display card that came with the rose says "FINE AS RAIN No. 14" and "Made in England" and it is sold by Haws. It only took one week to get to Arizona from England.
