The material is very stretchy! I got the 6-12 month and my child could wear it for awhile!

We bought this little outfit twice. It's festive and cute without breaking the bank. No, I dont think this is made for continual wear.Initially, we bought the 0-6 month size. I thought this one was of higher quality than the 6-12 month. The snaps were metal, the blue was a little darker. I preferred that one when comparing them side by side.The only reason why I ordered the 6-12 (and returned the 0-6) was sizing. Man, oh man, the sizing is wonky. But when I looked at other options (again) when the 0-6 arrived, I just liked this outfit better than others.We have a long baby. When the 0-6 arrived, it would have fit baby perfect, however 4th of July was a few weeks away and it wasn't going to fit by then... it would have never fit for Labor Day as well (which was the intention).I've included a few pictures comparing the two sizes side by side and also included a 3 month carters onsie (unwashed) for comparison to the 0-6. The onesie was about an inch LONGER than the 0-6. There's a little snap of my daughter wearing the 6-12 size at 11 weeks old. 24.5 inches long and 11 lbs 11 oz at her dr appointment the following week for some context.These pictures don't actually do the outfit any justice. She looked ADORABLE when being held or sitting in her carrier that day (being flat in this picture emphasizes how big the outfit was on her), but she was comfortable and really that was most important.Moral if the story: if baby is 24 or 24.5 inches, you may need the 6-12

Such a cute little outfit - the Pom Pom fringe really makes it. Nice and light for a hot summer day

The outfit is super cute. However, my 8 month old wore it for less than an hour and pulled off one of the red fringe balls that hangs from bottom and nearly choked on it. Seems an unnecessary addition for babies.

Overall this is a great outfit for the summer, it does run on the smaller size and since they grow so fast I would suggest ordering up a size. Definitely would purchase it again!
