Smells heavenly! I’d recommend using a candle warmer to get the full experience

**EDIT** 1 star to 4...I did receive a damaged first candle but Harlem offered me a full refund and replaced my candle for free. So I am changing my review based on their customer service.**ORIGINAL REVIEW** While it smelled amazing as soon as I opened it I am returning this candle. I'm not sure if it is a third party seller on here but my candle was not full and the wicks were black like it had been used. For $48 I would expect a better candle. Be careful!

I'm a bit of a candle freak, and for the past couple of years I've been looking for the perfect rose scented candle. I love to walk into a room after a candle has been burning for an hour or two and feel like I've stepped into a rose garden, a strong, rose-forward scent and the ability fill a room with scent are musts for me. Sadly, this didn't live up to expectations. The packaging is very pretty, but the scent is underwhelming - the most distinct note is a powdery vanilla, with just a hint of floral in the background. I left it to burn for a few hours, but the scent didn't really have much of an impact, even after stepping outside for a few minutes and then coming back. Overall, not worth the price point, although maybe other scents would be more to my liking.

The historical reference

This candle has amazing fragrance, although not overwhelming. It will scent a large area in a gentle but noticeable way. Also, the packaging is beautiful. It is a bit pricey, but that's why it makes a great gift -- something you might not buy for yourself but are excited to receive. I bought a bunch of them for Christmas gifts.
