Trumpeter TR 09918 - Tools: Decal Tray

OK I've survived 40 years without it but now I've used it I'd never go back to a saucer of water, small enough to not be in the way on the modelling desk but big enough for most decals although a lot of 1/16 decals won't fit and nor will large 1/32 such as long aircraft fuselage markings but it's still worth 5 stars.

Ok it seems expensive for a plastic tray but it's quite a useful bit of kit, no more chasing small decals around a dish with your tweezers, simple but very effective i would recommend.

Good idea but very overpriced. Gets very fiddly to use with very small decals.

Very simple to use. Makes decals easier to apply.

Used the tray but wasn’t impressed.

Does what it should, better than just a dish as you can lift the decals out with the tray. Also handy little tool that enables small decals to be handed and slid straight onto the model.

Very useful device, but not perfect. A bit of trial and error is involved in getting just the right depth of water to make the best use of it, and care is needed to avoid losing any little decals through the drain holes when raising the platform!
