RTG Shower & Tub Refinishing Paint (White)

It was pretty easy to use. Let it set for 72 hours if you don't it will not work.

I applied this product to my 18 year old shower pan, 3x4 ft. Firstly, when sanding with an electric sander, wear a mask and isolate the area from other areas by closing the doors. The micro dust goes all over to other rooms. SAND IT BY HAND !!! The product dries hard and appears durable...haven't had a chance to test it yet. Followed direction to the T and its easy to apply, easy to clean up before it dries. The label says white but it is powder-blue or baby-blue but I can live with that. However, the fumes while it dries is strong and it lingers, don't know for how long. Its been three days and I exhausted the bath and bedroom with a fan and bath exhaust but the odor is still there. Will be back after I've had a chance to test its durability. All in all, it appears to be a good product.REVISION: Its now been three weeks since I applied it and the product is excellent. All odors have dissipated and its a success. Its difficult to find a good product but this one is IT , not slippery, hard surface.

First quart I recived was very thin took whole quart to cover the 2 end walls of my tub. Ordered 2nd quart and it was very thick. I had to hardly used any to do the back wall and tub itself. So I'm on the fence about if it good product and I recived bad batch 1rst go round or if it's just gonna be a hit or miss kinda product.

A month later and it looks good. Well worth the hours of cleaning and prepping. After cleaning I followed the instructions exactly. Easy to apply. Used two coats. Soap scum and hard water stains no longer after just a few days. Very happy with this product. A tenth the cost of having it done professionally. Its work though prepping the tub but if you put in the effort you'll be happy.

My shower tray was old and stained, I couldn't get it clean looking. This was easy to apply. I had to use 3 coats to cover the stains but wow it looks great now. With some new caulk (my next project) it will look like a whole new shower and a lot cheaper than replacing it.

Don't take short cuts and this product will work well for you. Follow the instructions

Make sure you follow the directions closely. You must sand before adding paint. Otherwise, it will scratch off. Also, the white to me has a blue-ish hue to it. It doesn't seem like a true white, and I stirred it well. It takes several coats to cover sufficiently, at least 3 coats. It goes on pretty sheer, but I was able to do the entire shower with one can. Again, follow the instructions. There's a specific window as to when to add additional coats. It needs to dry enough for the second coat to adhere, otherwise adding the second coat will remove the previous coat, but you can't let it completely cure before adding the other coats. I'm not a fan of the finish. I was hoping for a more glossy slick finish, but it feels like regular satin wall paint. Maybe this is how it is supposed to feel. I used this paint on an RV shower. While I am not thrilled about the color and feel, the shower stall still looks way better than it did and the paint seems to do well when water hits it.

Followed instructions exactly and let dry forever, but the first time we dropped something in the sink it chipped off

I ordered this item that photo clearly shows is a gallon of white pain for refinishing bathtub and when I received item it was in box that had leaked all of the paint.

The can was smaller then expected, I’m sure it told me that I probably misread. However I didn’t end up using and returning was no problem at all.

I used the product on a cast iron enamelled sink. It chipped in numerous places one day after I applied it. I’m not happy with this product. Spray on epoxy would probably do a better job does this company make an epoxy for enamelled sinks? RTG Supply co.

I just hope it does the job to re-coat an old Febreeze shower stall, but I am confident it will do the job
