These Guys Rock!
I haven't seen the DVD yet, but was (and still would be if they were still on) an avid watcher of these guys when they first came out on CITV, and I've gotta tell you that even though they dont really talk as such (they communiucate by various soundings of their names in different tones of voice which is hilarious!), they provide tonnes of educational value in form of how they treat eachother and eachother's property, which is a very important aspect of youth. It's kind of a mishmash between the Simpsons and Spongebob Squarepants therefore, but totally (and don't forget wonderfully) different. The african 'thick black outlined' style animation and just how much raw emotion is shared far surpasses anything I have ever seen, for instance when a mad chase goes on between the trio (a cute little bird called 'Yoko', a wise and friendly armadillo called 'Jakamoko' and a miscevious chimp called 'Toto') as they squabble over who gets a seashell they find, until eventually they find that the shell has it's own occupant! Its so funny that one episode can revolve around one seashell, but each and every episode is just as great! I can't really express it in words. Just Watch it! Although I think it's supposed to be for children. Anyone WILL love it. Absolutely flawless.

Classic Entertainment for the whole family!
I was lucky enough to see this video before its release date by winning it in a contest and I can tell your that Yoko! Jakamoko! Toto! spells entertainment! The Monkey, Bird and Armadillo will take you on a rollercoaster of laughs and amazement as its very funny humour and its stunning visuals will entertain you time and again. The fact that these animals do not speak in any language, but use their own invented words and each others names to communicate makes it perfect for any child and any adult of any nationality and any age. It's classic entertaiment with content suitable for any age group. Its humour is both adult and child friendly and you will find yourself laughing along with your todler, teen or student child!Yoko! Jakamoko! Toto! proves that modern animation can not just keep us glued to the screen, it keeps us in touch with our inner child and puts a big smile on our face.Highly recommended!

Make this your baby's first DVD
I got this for my three year old, but in fact it was the first DVD that the baby (eight months) really enjoyed. The music is great (catchy but not irritating - it is possible) and the stories are simple and witty, easy to follow.

Magnifico!
This offbeat show about a bird, a monkey and something that looks like an armadillo messing about together in the desert is without a doubt the freshest, most inventive, dynamic and thoroughly entertaining animated kids' series to be produced in this country since 'Roobarb and Custard'. It may be aimed at under-fives but when it aired recently on ITV everyone in my office - including the boss - would pile into the conference room to watch it, and work would have to wait for five minutes. The fun characters, sparkling wit and humour, vibrant design and utterly brilliant animation are a breath of fresh air amid the formulaic blandness of modern kids' TV.Buy a copy for yourself, another for your kids, another for any other kids you know and one more to keep wrapped up for when it becomes a collector's item. If this doesn't become a cult classic there's no justice.

It gives you smile whoever you are, wherever you're from
One of my weired friends recommended this to me, as my name is Yoko!---- thanks to him this is fantastic, as the former comment says they don't speak any languages, but fully understandable what they want to say with their gestures and tone of voices. I couldn't find any cultural differences in this,I may say it has universal idea of friendship.

Toto On 'Yoko Jakamoko and Toto'
The first time my friends and I saw this program on CITV, it was by accident but, once we saw an episode, we were hooked. The video is a fantastic collection of some of the greatest episodes there are and I can't wait for the next installment. The journeys of the weird, yet wonderful trio are not only highly amusing but also moralistic and teach younger viewers about the importance of friendship.Don't get me wrong, it's not boring. If a bunch of uni students like me and my friends watch this program religiously then it can't be bad. It's FAB get it NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
