It worked...eventually!
I recently saw a large rat scuttling along the roof edge of my shed. Every time I went into the shed, I would hear ominous rustling and then see a furry shape (on one occasion 3 furry shapes) exiting out the corner of the roof line. So I commenced a routing of unlocking the shed, waiting several moments for the verminous beasts to exit the building before braving entering the shed myself. After a complete clean out of the shed and finding all my Christmas decorations had been gnawed and urinated on it was time to seek out pest control. I didn't want to use poison, I have a dog and although he can't get in the shed normally I was worried would forget about it and he would eat whilst accompanying me to the shed. Equally any form of live capture meant I would have to dispose of live critters, not something I could bring myself to do.When it arrived I duly baited it with some peanut butter and a couple of dog biscuits for good measure. Over a week went by and daily checks revealed no results, and then I discovered the blighters had managed to eat the bait without being killed, I think they had developed levitation skills! However, the very next day there was a humongous furry rat butt hanging out of the trap with its creepy tail snaking behind a box. I was not convinced it was dead, and made a lot of excessive clattering, bravely from about 5 feet away. I am a little bit freaked out about how insanely excited and happy I was about a dead rodent. I convinced the lodger to dispose of it when he come home and the trap has been re-armed. The last few days there has been no ominous scuttlng so I am hoping we have sent a clear message to the local ratty community. So although it took a few days the trap has worked and I am more than happy with this trap.

Complete waste of time and money
Complete waste of time and money. We had the rats come in off the fields into our stables so bought one of these and plugged into the mains. The light would turn green but nothing inside and all bait gone. The third night it was crackling and solid red light on continuously. I had my brother who is an electrician look at it. He said it has plates inside on the bottom so when the rat stands on both plates the circuit is complete and the rat ought to be electrocuted but it clearly wasnt doing the job. We sat in the dark and watched the rats go in and out of the trap.I sent it back on the 8th December and it was recieved their end on the 9th. They told me returns take up to 48 hours to process. eight days later they finally got around to giving me my money back. Most unimpressed.

Rat trap that seems to work!
The item arrived the next day thanks to Prime delivery. The rat trap was packaged adequately and there were instructions included which covered the essential operation of the unit. It's simple really - put food in the rear of the trap and then plug it in and wait......I live in the country and vermin are a fact of life - however, I had been pestered by a mouse in my utility room who had evaded all my attempts to tempt him (or her) with tasty poison. To be honest, I didn't know whether this unit would work - I read the r views which looked positive, so took the plunge and purchased it.On the first evening, I loaded the rat trap with a very nice combination of left over Wensleydale cheese supplemented by a couple of nuggets of dog food.Amazingly, it worked! During the evening, there was a dead mouse in the rat trap.I removed him and left the trap in place overnight and another one was caught. The unit can work either by mains electricity using the plug supplied or it can be operated on 4 C size batteries.I've now got the unit in the attic where I've heard little feet scurrying arround.. nothing yet, but I'm optimistic! In summary, this unit looks like it really works - as a result, I'm considering buying another one.

Does the job
Was a bit apprehensive at first as description states long shock. I think this is referring to rats. I have put this in the outside shed and it has worked. It has got been successful in despatching some mice, which we have suffered with problems in the house roof. On the whole decided this was a better option than poison as that can take a long time to work and also endangers other creatures such as cats and birds of prey, potentially eating poisoned mice.Have to make sure its fully dry after cleaning. Occasionally the green light has come on and nothing inside. Its easy to dispose of the mice afterwards. The only draw back is a short cable, which I have used an extension lead to overcome. I would recommend this product.

Doesn't Power Up.
Arrived on time but when plugged into the mains it doesn't appear to work. No blinking lights as suggested in the instruction leaflet and no electric hum. I therefore bought some batteries to try and got the same result. Have emailed the seller asking for further instruction but nothing back so far.
