Brabantia 363689 Profile Line Skimmer/Strainer - Stainless Steel , Silver

I do a lot of stir-frying and needed something to lift cooked meals from the wok. None of my spatulas or spoons could do the job without the food sliding off the sides! This Skimmer/Strainer does the job perfectly while protecting my wok's non-stick surface. It's lightweight, completely rigid, and the 'business end' is very large and very rounded, so it fits the contours of the wok and easily scoops up the food. I've found it's particularly useful when serving up heavier meals such as noodle-based dishes. It's also incredibly cheap for a good quality item!This Skimmer/Strainer would also be good for scooping food from deep pans, but in my opinion it's too rounded and too large to use with flat-based frying pans.If you're looking for a perfect tool for the stir-frying itself, have a look at Brabantia Profile Line, Silicone Wok Turner, Stainless Steel. Another excellent tool in the same range from Brabantia. Note that these 'Brabantia Profile Line' items are quite a bit longer than your average kitchen tools, so you might want to measure up first to make sure they'll fit your cutlery drawer/hanging rail. This Skimmer/Strainer is 14.5"/37cm long and 4.5"/12cm wide, and the Wok Turner is 14"/36cm long.

Actually bought it to lift pouched eggs out of the water as my normal slotted spoon used to break the yolks and this does a good job no broken eggs so far

Good value for money. lightweight, appears to be hardwearing. We bought 7 or 8 various items in the range and all seem very much fit for purpose. Would recommend.

This is a great bit of kit, three years old and still going strong. Used all the time and showing no signs of wear despite heavy usage.Very impressed an very useful, recommend this one

Good quality product. Love the look and feel. It works for frying veggies on the wok- yet to try it with deep frying - but think it should be fine as well.

Very pleased with this strainer and all the range - (I bought one of almost the entire range) - Very well made and designed. I particularly think the plastic business end is useful so you don't scratch your pans when using them

Bonne écumoire qui fait son job. Jolie, elle a rejoint sur ma crédence mes ustensiles de cuisine d'une grande marque. Elle peut se montrer sans problème👍 !Elle n'a rien à leur envier et elle est moins chère.

Himmel, was soll man über einen Schaumlöffel rezensieren?Ich habe mir diesen Schaumlöffel gekauft für meine Semmelknödel. Entscheidung war dahingehend weil der Schaumlöffel groß ist und schonend für beschichtete Töpfe (wobei man mit einem Schaumlöffel eher weniger an die Topfränder kommt, wo man was zerkratzen könnte).Der Schaumlöffel kam pünktlich und gut verpackt an. Er ist leicht und doch stabil (meine Semmelknödel hält er aus). Er ist leicht zu reinigen und nach Gebrauch landet er gewaschen in der Schublade. Mehr fällt mir nicht ein.Ich bin zufrieden damit und würde ihn mir auch wieder kaufen - wenn er nicht gleich morgen schon kaputt geht. Aber da es bei uns morgen Schinkennudeln gibt, trage ich keine Sorge, dass das passieren könnte :o) 5 Sterne soweit für mich OK.
