I place this under my cat's litter box & it is the best litter collection mat I've tried in 30+ years. It's just the right size to fit under the pan, with good margins all around & fits perfectly into the space.The only downside is that it does such a great job of capturing the litter that exits the pan, that sometimes it's a little hard to get clean. So I bought an additional one, so that I can hose the "dirty" one off when washing out the litter pan & have a dry & clean mat to put under the pan while it dries.Edited to Add: A word to the wise . . . buy two, because they take a long time to dry if you have to actually wash them. Usually just a shake is good enough to remove most of the litter, but sometimes my "little darling" doesn't always keep her pee in the pan & I have to give it a good soapy wash to get it really clean.Well worth the money, in my book!

I have 3 cat. Now that they're in their teens (one has lower spinal damage with leg and hip pain) I noticed they were making a terrible mess on the floor. My daughter told me to buy a taller litter box with a lower front and get a cat mat. After comparing mats this one is the one I picked and I love it! I got the 35"x23.5" it's a perfect fit for my new 16.75"x25"x9" litter box. It does everything it states it'll do. It was folded when i received it but 2 mins in the dryer and then laying it on a hard floor got the wrinkles out immediately. Mat didn't emit any odors when I got it. I would recommend it to everyone and I'ld buy again!Update: The mat is still like new after 10 mos. It grabs any cat litter that is on my cats paws. I have no complaints or concerns. I've even recommended it to my Vet. Update. My litter mat started smelling about a week ago and I've cleaned it 4 times. I love the mat and still looks likes new. The only reason I'm writing an Update is I found out my elder male cat is missing his litter box and he's going into renal failure. If you suddenly find your cat missing his litter box and the urine smell is foul take him to your Veterinarian. The only other symptom he had, I had noticed an increase in him drinking more water that week. I'm waiting on test results to tell me how bad his kidneys are. Just wanted to alert people about renal problems. I'm fixing to order another one of these mats since I have another cat. I feel like a bad Mother because I didn't catch on that he was having problems sooner.

This mat is incredibly helpful in keeping tracking litter to a minimum. I used to just leave the litterbox on the floor, no mat or anything to knock bits of litter off my kitty's paws. He'd track the stuff everywhere, and most annoyingly, into my bed. With this mat right in front of his box, there's a lot less of it between the sheets or stuck in the carpet. Unfortunately the mat doesn't knock off every little bit of litter, but I'd be surprised to find a mat that does. This mat is very large and the weaved texture doesn't bother my kitty when he has to step on it. My only problem with the mat is that some of the litter bits get stuck way down into the weaves, and even a vacuum hose can't ease them out. Luckily, it's so cute and does such a good job that it's not a huge detractor.

Works as advertised and looks great in my fur babies toilet area. I purchased the mat for 2 purposes: First, to help Cheetah, Chewey, and Misty (my 3 fur babies) remove trapped litter from their little paws reducing the risk of them ingesting any of it while grooming themselves. And secondly, to catch any of the litter that occasionally comes flying out of their Litter Robot 3 (automatic & self-cleaning litter box device) when my youngest cat Cheetah is in their doing her business, or at least I think that's what she's in there doing. Although there are times I have to wonder, because she acts like she's playing in a sand box or something. And there was an additional bonus with purchasing the litter mat, as it's appears to be helpful with keeping their steps in place, that leads to the entry way of the Litter Robot 3. My other 2 fur babies are nearing the senior age and I know the older they get the more difficult it would be for them to climb into the litter robot 3, and they do use the steps daily. I've noticed the stairs don't move nearly as much as they did prior to putting the new litter mat there. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking to purchase a litter mat or help their cats remove trapped litter from their paws! I'd also like to comment in response to some of the negative reviews pertaining to the mat curling up or not lying flat on the floor. The directions on the product clearly recommend taking a hair dryer using the heat on the areas that are curling up or not lying flat PRIOR to using it. Immediately upon opening the package when it arrived, I took the mat out, laid it flat, and then rolled it the opposite direction from what it had been rolled up in the package. Then I took it to my sunroom and laid it flat on the floor in an area where the sun would directly hit it and left it there till the next day. There were only 2 small areas that still didn't lay flat yet, so I used a hair dryer as the instructions recommended and within 2-3 minutes of using the hair dryer the creases in the mat were gone and it laid flat.

Its very cute and well made. Not flimsy, but for me it was too much of a hassle to clean in an apartment. If you have a yard then It would be easy to shake out and hose down. The weave is deep and certainly does catch the litter, but you need a strong vacuum. The main issue for me was when one of my cats had a poop accident outside the box, then he and his brother tried to “ bury” it. All they did was to push and smear the loose poop deep into the grooves. I got as much as i could off with paper towels, then I threw it in my tub. What a mess. Clumped litter and cat poop running down the drain. Lovely. I used bleach, then lysol, laundry soap, and a brush, but the stain remained. I gave up after the 4th attempt of washing and rinsing, then after it dried i tossed it. Its easier to shake out and wash a bathroom area rug, which is what I use now.

Love the look and fits in my cats litter space perfectly the mat is big enough for her to clean her feet when she leaves the litter pan.Shakes out easily and well worth the money, great buy.

I really think this is the best litter mat you can buy--I researched carefully before I purchased it. The only problem I have had with it is not with the mat itself but with the new lightweight kitty litter that we use. It flies everywhere, far beyond the mat. The solution for me is probably an enclosed cat litter box, then the lightweight litter will be confined to just outside the entrance to the box and the mat will be able to do its job. This mat is beautiful looking and very well made. It does not roll up on the edges but stays flat on the floor. A great choice!

This mat is very well made. It's thick, durable & has a heavy-duty non-slip backing (purr-fect!).We have a Litter Robot (highly recommend). Our kitty would jump out the robot then track litter all over, down the stairs (lucky for us there wood!) and finally litter dust would end up on our new sectional. I decided to give this a go. So glad I did, it has saved us a minimum of 90% of the litter (wet & dust) she used to track in the house. The mat looks super cute, great soft grey color (not greige!) and it's bigger than I expected which turned out to be the best thing (she can't jump over it to avoid it :) Don't waste your money on other mats. It's awesome but it's kinda a little bit hard to clean but beside that, it actually does a good job.

I ordered a large and the size was exactly as I anticipated. It captures the litter that makes it on, but my cats like to jump right out of the box so I think I need to figure out another solution. Their litter box is not a closed litter box so it's more of the set up for them rather than the product itself. I think it'll work more with a closed litter box or if you have an open litter box with cats that like to jump widely out of their box buy you may need to buy a larger mat.It's really an excellent litter mat. The material is soft on the paws. I was enticed by the decent price compared to what I've seen at other pet stores. Also I loved the little cat emblem on the mat. I really felt like it made it more unique.
