As with all of my reviews I want to start this one with a short one-sentence summary that gives you the most important informations about this set.But this time said sentence will be a bit different then usual.Normally I would say something about the quality of the set or the greatness of the design. Maybe even something about how much fun it is to build the set.This time however I will focus on something else, since the set does so as well.So, here we go:“This football set by Ausini is an awesomely funny tabletop game that will provide you and/or your children with hours of fun during some action-packed games, all played with just your fingers and some very cool brick toys.“So, yes, this set is actually a real game.Would you like to read some more about the details?Well, then feel free to read on and find all the information you need further below.Rating: 5 starsAnd now for the detailed review.Introduction:When I first got this set I actually didn't really know what to expect.I thought it may be a good display piece for a city-themed display or just something that would be nice to show on its own.But what I got was something different.This set is neither intended to be a display piece, nor is it a challenging build.Instead it is actually a real game.A table football game to be exact.And yes, I can tell you that it is actually quite a lot of fun to play with this thing.So, let's see what we have here.Packaging: 4 starsAs expected the set comes in the usual Ausini packaging.It's a cardboard box with pictures of the set and another, pretty sturdy cardboard box inside.This second cardboard box contains the bags with the pieces as well as the unprotected instructions and the sticker sheet.It's a pretty good packaging, just as I expect it from Ausini.Instructions: 4 starsThe instructions for this set are well done and easy to follow.Some times it can be a little bit complicated to identify colours in Ausini's instruction manuals, but in this case it's easy.The only minor complaint I have is the one I always have with instruction manuals from Ausini:They never show where to place the stickers.To find that out you have to take a look at the box or at the outside of the manual.It's not very hard to figure out though.Quality of the bricks: 4 starsThe quality of the parts in my sample of the set is fine.They hold together very well and it is also easy to put them together.So, yes, the bricks are fine.The stickers though could be of a bit higher quality.They are by no means bad or something the like. But it can be a bit hard to get them off of the sticker sheet.The minifigs: 5 starsThis set comes with ten, I repeat TEN minifigs.The quality is pretty much typical for Ausini minifigs.But wait, doesn't that mean that they would normally get a 4 star rating?Yes, 4 stars are my usual rating for Ausini minifigs.However these ones are special. Or rather, the bases they stand on are.First of all you get two referees, which are just normal minifigures.These two are more meant for decoration than anything else.But the remaining eight minifigures for two football teams.And each and every member of these teams stands on a special “kick-base“.That means, you snip them with your finger when the ball comes close and they will slide in the respective direction or kick the ball.Heheh, it's your game so you decide what to do.However the possibility to do so makes these minifigures one thing more than any other: fun!You can even switch them for your own team of minifigs, if you want to.The bases are compatible.The stadium: 5 starsI know what many of you will think.“How can he rate such a relatively simple thing with 5 stars?“Well, I'm about to tell you.As I said in the beginning, this set is a tabletop game, not a display piece.As such it doesn't have to be extremely detailed, though actually Ausini did a pretty good job here.After all you have towers with lights, commercial signs, flags and even big boards on the sides of the stadium.Considering how this set is designed this is actually quite a lot of detail.Cause this is meant to be mounted and unmounted really quickly.You can take the set apart in just seconds.And you can rebuild it just as quick.The stadium consists of four main parts.The sides and the two parts with the goals.There is just a small connection between them. Enough to hold everything in place for the game.But, as I said before, you can also take it apart very quickly and put the parts away until you want to play again.That being said there is actually a fifth part, which is the ground of the stadium. The football turf, so to say.This is a big piece of well printed cloth. And it happens to be my favourite part of the set.So, I assume you already know what I am trying to say.This set is meant to be practical. It's a game to play with, not something you would usually put on display for a long time. Though you could of course do so as well if you wish.Ausini has done a good job designing this stadium.It does exactly what it was build for. And it does it well.And that is why I can easily rate it with 5 stars.Final Verdict: 5 starsThis set has provided me with way more fun than I would ever have expected it to do.You see, I'm not even a big football fan. But this game is simply fun to play.It is well designed, it is quickly build and it has ten minifigs which gives you two teams to play with.If you have children who like games like this I am sure they will enjoy it.Or if you are an adult and enjoy table football games.... why not give it a try? It's fun.

I wasn't sure whether to give this 4 or 5 stars, but at the end of the day it's a good bundle. Whilst the pieces aren't Lego, they are good quality and completely compatible.The down side I found was that the cloth pitch is too low for the goals, there are two thin layers at the base of the goal meaning the ball wouldn't easily go into the net. Fine to look at, but less fun when trying to use the set for playing with. As a result, I completely redesigned the stadium, using a wooden pitch from a table football game, two large base plates underneath, and raided the lego collection to redo the goals. As a result the stadium now looks good and can be played with as well.
