Q: Will this grind beeans for an automatic coffee machine?

Sure. You can easily dial the desired grind.

Q: The finest grind is not fine enough for my espresso machine. Can I adjust the burrs inside the grinder to make it finer than the machine's setting?

I'd be very hesitant to mess with the inner workings. If it was meant to give you a finer grind, it would have a setting for a finer grind. I think what you see is what you get.

Q: Will I receive a used machine?

I found one person who said he received a used machine, but I don't think so. Just because he didn't read the instructions and checked other parts of the whole coffee grinder carefully. I received a machine that also has little coffee ground in the burr, but I don't mind that. When I upon reading the instructions, I found that each grinder is tested before shipping to make sure they work well properly. In addition, I also checked the whole machine carefully, found that all the accessories and packages were clean and tidy without any sign of it being used. So I'm pretty sure it's not a used machine. A great grinder with adjustable functions is perfect for my needs. I'm super happy with it thus far.
