These were bought as a Christmas present for a gin fanatic. Recently found out (contrary to popular belief) that the more ice you put in a drink the less watered down the drink becomes. These are brilliant. A couple of these in a large glass and the drink stays cold and un-watered down for a nice long time. They can be a little trick to open, but once you've got your technique down it's pretty straightforward. I found using the edge of a teaspoon to scoop them out the quickest way.

Perfect size to have in a whiskey glass, lasts for ages and easy to fill and use. Just remember that water expands as it freezes so leave a gap and I pop in a bowl of water for a minute before using and they easily slip out!

I specifically checked the size of these - described as Product Dimensions 6.3 x 6 x 7 cm. I have some smaller ones and some bigger ones already and wanted the bigger size. I now see on the box in the photo it says 2" diameter which is at odds with the Product Description. Also the photos made the balls look bigger e.g. next to a lemon and in a glass. Disappointing misrepresentation. I like the concept as it's easier for me to fit individual balls in my freezer rather than an ice tray.

Makes great ice balls but they are difficult to remove if they don't come apart with the ice still attached to the top where you insert the water, because if they do attach there it is easy to poke them out whole using a small knife etc. I like how they don't spill in the freezer no matter how you pop them in. Unfortunately the quality is quite poor because I have broken two within the first week! Glad I bought them whilst reduced for a tenner, would be quite gutted if I paid the full 20 or so pounds as these are definitely not premium and definitely not worth that kind of money. Shame because when they work they work well and produce fantastic ice balls.

These are really easy to fill but unfortunately after first use two out of four have cracked and can’t be used again. Also the ice balls don’t last as long in drinks as they are said to, I have known lots of these keep drinks cold for a very long time, I left mine to freeze for just over 48 hours and they lasted a total of half an hour in my drink before melting. Overall really not impressed.

Got these for my husband and he loved them! We used them the other night and worked great. Make sure to leave some room at the top to ease getting the ice out and if your freezer is under what it should be like ours just run under some water still closed before opening and the ice ball pops right out. Also extremely helpful they are separates as you can then place wherever there is room.

Easy to fill and dont leak in freezer but they are rigid and it makes them hard to remove. Ok once run under warm water.
