This was a great stencil to complete the final touches on the mermaid details of this cookie set

Great stencils, good quality.

As a painter I often need a repetitive shape and although these are titled as mermaid scales there are so many things you can use these for. Start with waves...this allows you to use every other line and not have to move the stencil over and over. Then there is a side accent like the art deco pictures. You can use this as a flourish or a detail on a dress by using the three points as a gem arrangement. Five stars for the wonderful selection of sizes for a very reasonable price.

The media could not be loaded. The bag has 9 sizes of mermaid scale stencils. The stencils will work best on flat surfaces. They should work ok on larger, less rounded surfaces of the body. But, they'll probably won't work as well on really uneven surfaces like the face. Unless there's a product that you can buy that will cause the plastic to adhere to the skin while using these stencils, you'll likely need someone to help you hold them up against the skin. I know there's setting spray and gem and glitter glue fir skin. But, i don't think it would be strong enough to hold these to the skin, in order to get stenciling done. Due to their larger size, and not having any kind of sticky backing, it would be hard to accomplish stenciling with these on your own. Though, I could be wrong. 🤷🏻‍♀️ They'd be good for crafts. The 4 mermaid style brushes, that come with the stencils, are really cute. Though, the brush quality isn't the best, they should last a while if properly cared for. I plan on using the brushes for nailart. I attached a video. I hope this helps. 😊

One of the best features of this set is that you get so very many mermaid scale sizes in so many stencils. I plan to use them for art paper applications, card making, and perhaps even some wall borders, on picture frames, furniture (painted chairs), etc. I'm always finding ways to paint on things! I know they're intended for make-up applications, and I think that if you were doing body art, the large size of the stencil might help for large body areas. For the face, I can see only needing smaller sections, so the size of the stencils might work better if cut down (and tape up the cut edges for skin protection). The stencils are fairly firm, fairly flexible, so this should help with their efficient use. The brushes!! They are SO pretty! Iridescent colors, mermaid tails at the tips of the handles! Just pure fun, these brushes!!

Not very flexible

We got these stencils for makeup and crafting purposes and they work well for both. The stencils are nicely cut and have a good variety of sizes. The brushes are average quality, but fun.
