Great for trumpets and marching
The old school clips that used to hold music got rid of your ring finger holder on the trumpet this one connects onto the tubing on the trumpet without damaging and works very well excellent to have

Not durable
I brough this lyre, because a traditional lyre would not fit into the 3rd valve slide ring casing on my trumpet. So I thought one that could be fastened to the horn tubing would do the job. It worked only once, then after that the red grips started tearing. Putting duct tape on it on the ends nor fastening the metal on without anything for the ends wouldn't keep it in place beyond the first use.

Good lyre overall, but this style is hard to get tight enough.
Overall, this is a good lyre for a trumpet, but all the lyres of this style are hard to get tight enough to clamp the instrument well without damaging the tubing or without flopping around. It will find good use as a backup lyre to loan to students who forget theirs.
