5 Rolls Tesa's Most Advanced High Heat Harness Tape 51036 Mercedes, BMW, Audi, VW

Got this because I constantly repair wiring harnesses at work.This tape has good abrasion resistance, and pretty good adhesion.Good way to make it look like you were never there.Does not tear by hand, if you've never used it before.

I wish I would’ve found this years ago. This stuff is wonderful. Time will tell if it holds up in the Las Vegas heat though.

I haven't used this very long yet, so will update down the road. So far it seems to be a really good product, it's sticky enough to stick, maybe a little less than another tape - but ultimately it won't matter if both work because the finish on this one is a great black fabric type finish you can't get with electrical tape.A few things I found out - you don't want to stretch it or pull it tight, it does much better with no tension unlike some electrical tapes. Just wrap it with light pressure, and you'll need a pair of good scissors to cut the tape. I got a few frayed strings a couple times on the corners and it easiest to trim them off and get a fresh edge. Really liking how professional it looks and clean, much better than the plastic loom options that dry up and crack in the engine bays.

Used this to replace some the old tape on my truck and it has held up great even in spot where the whether has hit it. Probably wouldn't use this for wiring that is going to see a lot of weather, but under the hood or in the engine bay it is great stuff.

For years all I've ever used to wrap wire harnesses was scotch super 33. Super 33 is the Lexus of electrical tape. But it can rattle behind a dash, and that's why many OEM's use a fabric based tape for protecting the factory wiring. This tape has a look and feel similar to the factory stuff, especially the European cars. I seriously doubt the adhesive will last as long as the super 33, but should still last for a good long time. Overall, I can recommend this tape, and plan on using it more often.

A lot of older vehicles have wiring harness issues and after a repair, it's nice to have a quality tape to insulate the wires bundled together. I used to use 3M electrical tape but this stuff works so much better to re-wrap the wires after a repair or to restore the insulation that's falling apart from age. Prevent harness movement as much as possible and cover exposed wires with an insulating wrap like this. Buy at least 5 rolls. You'll be surprised how many harness insulation/wrap issues there are on 10+ year old cars.

It's sticky.

As good as genuine tape used in the car. and as usefull as everything (cables) that requires to be safely protected.Good stuff, bravo TESA!

The tape itself is strong. I cannot attest for the adhesion yet as I have just started using it. If I remember, I will re-visit this in a year and see how the tape is holding up.

Great quality tape. I ordered the 5 pack. Wasn’t needing that many, but on sale and price for this brand was a deal I could not pass. Only disappointed was, I ordered the exterior tape, ended up with the fuzzy cloth interior tape. Was needing the non fuzzy tape for a harness that will see wet and dirty conditions. I ended up returning it. They were great to deal with and refunded right away. Will buy again and hopefully get the correct tape when I do.
