TetraCO2 Optimat Kit, Complete Set for Intensive CO2 Supply for Lush Water Plants

This canister does exactly what it is designed to do, provides Co2 to a fish tank. You must have the starter set (the tube and disposal unit - sold separately) to use this correctly.I have a 190 litre fish tank and this Co2 canister compliments the plants well.Once you have purchased the starter set it takes seconds to set up. Simply attach one end of the tube to the canister and the other end to the plastic disposal unit. Put the plastic disposal unit inside the fish tank and attach to the side of the glass using the supplied 'suckers'.Make sure the disposal unit is the correct way up (the side which the tube connects to is the top side and the completely open side is the bottom side). Tilt the unit slightly to the side to remove any oxygen and allow it to fill with water and tilt back down again. From here slowly press on the canister to release Co2 into the disposal unit and keep releasing until the Co2 fills the disposal unit towards the bottom, don't allow any Co2 to release into the tank, just towards the bottom of the unit.That's it, it takes a matter of seconds. Throughout the next few hours you'll notice that the Co2 releases into the tank and leaves the disposal unit. Once the Co2 has completely gone you can press the canister again to release more Co2 into the unit, again watch the disposal unit until the Co2 is near the bottom and stop.Over a couple of days or so you will notice a build up of gases towards the top end of the disposal unit which will not go. Simply tilt the unit to the side to release these gases and you can start again.Only pump Co2 during the day whilst the lights are on otherwise it's wasted as the plants will sleep at night. I pump Co2 approximately twice a day, morning and afternoon.Remember aquarium plant food will still be required as the Co2 only lets the plants breath, it does not provide food to the tank.Using the Co2 canister twice a day will last approximately a month and will then need replacing again.I hope this helps.

Bought mainly to help control algae, has given the anted aquarium a decent boost aswell, air stone on overnight and co2 on a morning before turning on the lights to give the plants a decent start. Works well and seems to have an impact on the algae aswell which is what I bought it for

Some entomologists (amateur & professional) are using a quick blast of carbon dioxide to temporarily disable live insects for close identification examination and photography.Needs a bit of plastic tubing (possibly with a reduction to smaller size) to fit into a collection tube containing the insect. Then add a small blast of the gasInsects recover after a couple of minutes and fly away unharmed; but you have to be quick with your examination, unlike Ethyl acetate which left them groggy for some time.

No recuerdo bien desde cuando uso productos de Tetra, pero debe hace varias décadas. En casa, desde siempre, hemos tenido acuario y Tetra me ha acompañado a lo largo de todo este tiempo. Recuerdo que había épocas que las tiendas de mi zona cambiaban de proveedor y costaba encontrar esta marca, pero desde que está todo más globalizado, todo ha sido más fácil en este aspecto.En este caso se trata de un kit de CO2 para que las plantas de nuestros acuarios estén saludables. Parece que es un aspecto secundario, pero yo ya hace mucho tiempo que aprendí la importancia de este aspecto.El kit es de buena calidad y resistente. Al menos, resistente para su hábitat, que es el del acuario.La instalación es muy sencilla y se realiza en cuestión de minutos. Las ventosas agarran muy bien y, aunque pensaba que podría fallar de ahí, me ha sorprendido lo bien que funcionan.Creo que la relación calidad-precio de este kit de CO2 está muy bien teniendo en cuenta su coste económico y todo lo que aporta al acuario.Resumiendo... Si aprecias a tus amiguitos con escamas, es imperativo cuidar, también, de las plantas del acuario. Tanto peces como plantas forman un conjunto harmonioso que, en caso de fallar, les afecta negativamente, por lo que hay que prestarle la dedicación necesaria. El producto en sí funciona muy bien, por lo que estamos muy contentos. Sin duda, un gran producto.
