I like the fine-tune nobs, although the horizontal one has issues, they make keeping your target in frame easier. The red-spot finder scope is nice. The tripod is sturdy, but much too short for me and here is where it looses a star, you can not put it on a different tripod. :-(The lenses that come with it are of good quality and the tray is a nice touch. It's just too short for me.

The xploraPro 70AZ Refractor Telescope is built like a toy (which is not necessarily the same asa telescope made for a child). It is the lowest quality telescope I have used, and we have at least 3 others in our house. It is poorly designed and mad3e with low quality materials. Even the tube which houses the lens is plastic.The sight is not lined up well enough to get something in the view on one of the higher magnifications, and the magnifications are not very high......Not as high as on my 10 year old Lumix pocket cameraq.... and probably nowhere near the magnification on your cell phone. The lenses (2x,10x and 20x) are one piece. When I saw something fuzzy through the lens I was not sure if it was a defect, dirt, or something growing (as happens on old cameras, etc). It was easy to clean the outside but you need a long q-tip to clean the other side, because it is 1 piece) Fortunately whatever debris there was seems to be on the small lenses, but there is a visible defect in one of them. That said, the lenses are not very good.At this price point I do not expect very good lenses but 10 and 20x magnification are not much, and on a telescope. almost useless.I posted pics of the view of a mountain about half a mile from my house, with the 10x and 20x lenses. It is set up to use a call phone, but with a spring clamp... I wouldn't put my phone in that, not over a hard surface. It was not too easy to use a regular camera, and I expect the photos to be similar since neither will be getting very close ot the lens.It looks like a lot of telescope for the price, but the quality just is not there.(Not above average).
