Layrite - Cement Pomade - 4oz

This product is amazing, I have been using it for years. Gives your hair a nice shape and style without a wet or solid look.

I have been after the perfect hair products for years and having gone through many, this finally hits the spot. I used to use pomade, however found it too greasy and seldom gave me the hold I needed. My hair is up to my nose tips and I comb it back. I started using matt clay and found it suited my hair perfect, it had great hold and wasn't greasy, however the ones I used dried my hair out, it left my hair feeling like hay and was also difficult to wash off. Then comes Layrite Cement and it was perfect. It gives great hold which lasts all day, it does not dry the hair out, it feels like pomade but without the grease. The best way to describe it would be, holds like wax, feels like pomade and washes out like gel. It has a sweet vanilla smell. Only downfall and its not the product its self but the price, it is rather pricey, but worth it.

Great product for those who are looking for strong hold with matte finish. Works better with freshly washed hair that has been thoroughly blown dried. I like the fact that even though the hold is fairly strong, your hair doesn't look unnatural and you can pass your fingers through your hair to restyle. If your hair is wet or not washed for a day, you'll get a wet look no matter which is something that I don't personally like but if that's the way the clay works, I'm fine with that.

Very very firm. Difficult to spread on hands to put in hair, sometimes resulting in clumps transferred. It certainly holds very well and I like the matte look. I find this a positive: but it does seem to last a water-only rinse, which is useful when you want to freshen or reset the hair style without reapplying the clay.

This is now my go to hair product.I fully dry my hair before using it as it gives a more matte look.Only use a small amount and work it well in to your hands. Apply to your hair gently to maintain the matte look.If you get the perfect look give a quick blast with hairspray to ensure the hold for the whole night.You can restyle later if you need to.It's more expensive than most but it smells great and works fantastically.

I usually use a pomade but when I go to my barber he always uses a clay so I thought I would try one myself. I opted for this Layrite clay and find that I don't need very much and it provides great hold. I have a tapered fade cut with about 3 to 4 inches on top and I give it a little bit of a pomp. Restyles with dampened fingers too.
