Owner 5177 Mosquito Light Wire Hook

We use these to baitfish anchovies and they're absolutely wonderful hooks. The only 'gripe' I have is the price. These things are like 1/4 the cost locally. These things are razor sharp and hold fish really well. The eyes are really well made and there's no gap like similar hooks have at the closing of the eye where they're bent. I've never broken one so they're not brittle but I've caught a couple fish that bend them out a bit, but if I run bigger wire hooks, I don't get the hookup/bite that I do with these. It's still worth the $ for the bent hooks. Life is good. Tight lines.

Size #8, used on 2lb fluorocarbon with Powerbait, caught a nice trout which snapped off. Used with 4lb fluorocarbon much better. Overall the hook works great

First off since i found out about these 5177 hooks i have and will not EVER go back to any hook for my Trout Fishing.. I use the size 10 ones.. They are Perfect because i love the shape but they are super light wire yet do not bend out on me.. I have always been looking for a thin wire hook for my trout fishing because with trout fishing i want the bait to always float.. Every hook so far that are light and thin have bended out on me except these 5177 hooks... Thanks so much for making this hook and you now have me for life on buying these for trout fishing!! great job!!!! Keep IT UP on doing you!!! Oh and Lipper ARMY!! These appear to be wonderful hooks. The diameter of the metal is very small but they are made of hardened metal. Good looking hooks. Can't wait to try them out.

Owner has always made good hooks in my opinion. However with the colored hook, I did not expect the color to wear out as easily as it did. Yet the hooks are super sharp, well designed, and strong. I love these hooks.

My go to hook for live bait for fishing for halibut and sea bass. They work great because they are thin and easy to go through the nose of anchovy, smelt, sardine, mackerel, herring. It allows the fish to swim freely and natural because the hooks are so thin and lightweight.

These were given as a gift, but they were on the giftee's wish list. He was thrilled to receive them and has had the opportunity to use. He says they were durable and sturdy, sometimes with smaller hooks like these they can bend easily with any pressure. These have definitely held up to fumbly man hands with no problems. I will definitely be buying these in the future.
