Bought it for my Grandson who is 5 years old and learning chess. First of all I love the fact you get extra queens, not that I get an extra queen that many times while playing. The quality is good, the magnets hold pieces in place. The pieces fall out of the foam inserts inside, but no big deal. Chess pieces are nicely made. Worth the money compared to other plastic sets I've looked at. May buy a better one when he can beat me consistantly

I would really give 4.5 stars. One of the magnet fell off and we lost it but beyond that, it's a great toy for kids and so far, very durable with young kids taking them out multiple times daily... Would buy again. Quality is adequate too.

Great buy for yourself or as a gift for a loved one. Nice wooden pieces, folding board awesome for travel, and the magnetic board keep your piece on the board.

This set is much more than I expected. Beautiful pieces and convenient storage. The magnets hold the pieces tightly to the board. This is really good for young players who bump the board and the pieces a lot as they play. I also LOVE the storage capability.

My son has really enjoyed this chess set. What he liked is that inside the case the pieces have an individual spot for each piece in foam with felt covering as not to just throw the pieces in the case and have them rattle around. Nice product

I wish I could hate this set. I really do. I got it as a gift for my partner for Christmas and I have lost every game played on it. It's really great for traveling with as well as kid friendly! Next time, I will go up in size for a more audacious game.

The game was decent, the pieces were ok, made of wood , that part is true but some details are missed. The biggest issue I had was the fact that The box won't close very well cheap quality hinges , won't snap so the pieces are not secure.

Given as a gift to my son. He uses it when he is at the fire station during down time.
