Live and let live
I used this product for grinding beef and lamb with onion. I used every trick in the book for my kabab to stick with the scewers. Alas, they were not effective. I used this device and I am so glad I did. I am as happy as a lamb. I have absolutely no idea why someone wrote it is difficult yo keep it clean. I used two water, mixed with vodka , alcohol, gasoline, nitric acid, and dynamite mixed with nitro glycerine. My god, you are supposed to say the components after every use. Have you ever hear a liquid called water? I will sell mine for $500. It is clean. It grinds quite nicely for my application. I have not yet used the sussage maker. It appears to be fun. You can make lots of things with it. I can pick up recipes on line. However, it would be nice to have a recipe book. The heck with ground beef you buy at store. With this you know exactly what you are getting. It is so easy.

this grinder is a work horse.
I bought this because I had 300 lbs of wild game to grind up into burger and sausage. this machine works well. I ran this grinder for 2 days 8hrs straight both days and it kept going strong. you have to cut the meat up a little smaller. but if your on a budget and need a grinder. this is it.

Powerful and a good buy; poorly documented and thought out in spots
This is a quite powerful grinder with aluminum and stainless components, especially for under $50. Racks up well against name brand units costing 2x as much or more. Similar in design to lots of other units, except that the auger shell attaches by a insert and twist-to-lock mechanism rather than the common thumbscrew -- this is nice. I'll give it zero points for documentation; the manual is virtually unintelligible, common with Asian products, and nowhere does it say what several of the parts do. Hence the 4 stars rather than 5. And they omitted very key documentation on how to set up their sausage stuffer. Since that is important for most users, I'll lay it out for you. Instructions to stuff into casing1) use no cutter and the coarsest steel cutting plate. I wish they had one that was almost wide open and wouldn't plug up. The "pie" adaptor is best. You must use SOME plate to center the auger2) use the plastic ring adaptor (with 3 tabs) for the stuffing tubes between the steel plate and your tube of choice. The same ring adaptor is used for all three different stuffing tube sizes. IMPORTANT the correct ring adaptor has 3 (three) tab slots on the inside which accept any of the feeder tubes ---- make sure your stuffing tub of choice "twists and locks" in the tab slots of the ring adaptor!!! Otherwise the feeder tube will not lock down firmly and you'll make a big mess. Then, work your hydrated casing onto the stuffing tube, assemble stuffing tube to unit the the aluminum nut, and you're off3) The other thing that looks like the ring adaptor is NOT for sausage stuffing and is apparently the "kibbe adaptor". Not knowing what kibbe is, I haven't a clue what that means. Seems useless. Same for the big adaptor with a round nipple. not sure what that is for. The 3 stuffing tubes, their ring adaptor, the steel plates, and steel cutters are the key piecesAnother gripe- the "pusher" to load meat is too small in diameter for the tube, so meet comes back up around it when stuffing sausage (works fine for grinding) and also there is no "twist lock" for the bin over the stuffing tube. But for $50, whaddaya want. I may look or fabricate a proper pusher. good luck!

Wish I bought this sooner
Saved me so much time! I bought it for the large die with the triangle shapes because I used to dice meat by hand. What used to be a 2-hour job is now done in 10 minutes!Great price too. I used Keepa.com to view the price history chart, track, and alert me when this item went on sale.Only downside is some of the parts are made of aluminum, like the main shaft. So I'm not sure how long it will hold up, but it doesn't seem like the stainless rotating parts come into contact with the aluminum.

Great Machine
This machine is a beast! Easy to assemble and disassembled to clean. I use it to grind pork loin so I can dehydrate it for my Dog Ace’s treats. I will be making homemade sausage soon. I highly recommend this machine!!

The most trouble I went thru
I bought this to make ground meat lam. I said it says don't use dishwasher for this product and I wash by hand. 3 hours later after dry, I see color change and all went gray from stainless steel. I said wow, what the hell happened. Find out manufactory put too much carbon into this steel and after a wash that layer that looks like stainless steel, goes away and only carbon shows up, with gray look and just when you touch, a gray metallic shows up on your fingers and you can't use it anymore. All of metal pieces except cutting tool all gray and toxic to use. They have to go back to drew board and just do 100% steel and not more than 2% carbon. Right now, has 30% carbon. Thanks, Ben

Beware of the feeder plunger is too short and too small and back washing up and around the plunger!
Just got this grinder after playing which one do i get..best of the bad... First , grind once is fine, but when you regrond for breakfast sausage links, what a trip.. the plunger is way to small for the opening and the meat squishes up out and around that plunger.. the plunger is too short. Big air pockets in the feeder neck and getting all those out is maddening. It’s almost impossible..this grinding job took way too long. Stressed you out. And yes we cooled the meat in the freezer on each grind..and it just did not work out well.. might send this thing back.. what an unpleasant experience! 😡
