Nice game to take on the road!
I discovered this game, with an Olympus theme instead of Camelot. When I found out the many themes, I was Lucky to find the last copy of both Camelot and it’s expansion, Avalon. This series plays like the regular Crazy Eight or Uno game, but with an amazingly simplified twist of chaos! If you are not a fan of random, you might as well stop here. The Base games come with a standard (but pimped out) deck of 52 cards. (You could actually play solitaire with these cards.) there are four suits (sun, moon, mystic eyes, and the Ankh) Every player starts with 7 cards and while the first round will not have an upkeep, as soon as Asset cards start hitting the table, you have to read if the ones with a beginning of turn ability are resolved. Then you draw a card, you may play an Asset card (Asset is a fancy way to say permanent card) and then you may discard a card OR Visa Versa. There is beautful artwork on the cards as well as an ability (just like Magc the gathering have).Instead of Asset card, you may play an Event card. (Kid of like a spell card. Asset cards get placed in front of the player playing it, while Event cards are played and then are discarded to the “Bottom” of the discard pile. When you discard a card, the card discarded must have a matching “suit” Or “number” Or be a wild card. Then the active player checks all of their own Asset cards, in play for end of turn abilities. The first player who empties their hand first wins! (Unless and Asset ability says otherwise.)Lots of random, little thinky, 2-4 players about a half-hour or less to play.
