Pretty well made for the price and fit Cold Steel Trail Boss perfectly.
The leather is adequate for storage and I don't mind the ugly grain considering the use. At this price it fits perfectly with the Cold Steel budget axe and I can saturate the sheath with oil to protect the axe head and not care.

Great form my camp hatchet!
My hatchet came with a vinyl cover held in olace with an elastic band. Not what you'd call sturdy. So I ordered this as a much more durable alternative.Fit the hatchet head great (although I did need to cut the strap ahorter and attach a new snap).I can now safely carry my hatchet in the compression straps of my back without worrying it will slip off and damage my pack's material.Well made, thick and stiff real leather. Worth every penny.

Smells terrible
This seems to be well made. The price is very good. The rivets are tight. The snap that holds the strap was put on right and it snaps firmly in place. The leather seems to be thick enough to last a long time and it did not come bone dry and needing leather lotion like others experienced with similar sheaths. It also fits my hatchet well. My only big complaint is the very strong smell remaining from the tanning process. It is terrible. No one in the family can stand to be near it. I searched the internet for answers and ended up putting it in a large zip lock bag with plenty of baking soda. It has been sealed up that way for 2 weeks and I can still detect the strong terrible smell through the closed bag. I want to keep this because the price was low and it is quality made, but I have to find a way to be rid of the smell of I will have to throw it away.

Worth the price, great mid weight build.
I bought this for my cold steel trail boss as it came without a mask/ sheath. It doesn’t offer a belt loop, but that’s not what it was for anyway.It will (as a mid weight build) serve me well for years to come.

Looks great, smells absolutely horrible. If I can't get the smell out I'll have to return it.
Looks great, but it smells absolutely atrocious. If the smell doesn't go away I'll have to return it. Haven't put it on my ax yet because it smells so bad.
