I'll begin by saying that I'm a pasta snob. I make pasta from scratch at home, and only ever eat it at a restaurant if they make it in house.However, I also majorly appreciate convenience foods like this and recognize them for what they are.The quality of these is well beyond what I expected. I've tried the rotini, the gemelli and the penne. The penne was not great - I did not purchase it again. The rotini is good. The gemelli is my favorite.I brown turkey sausage and spinach in a pan, and then toss the microwaved pasta in with sauce and finish it off in the sauce for another couple of minutes. I find that this process really does make the texture very similar to boiled al dente pasta and it really does have a nice chew.Amazon's price is actually lower per unit than my local grocery stores and its availability is also very hit or miss. So I was super happy to find it here and have already added it to my subscribe & save!

This is much better than expected . . . both flavor and texture! Followed the directions the first time and decided to try preparing it in the Sistema To Go Bowl with tomato/green chili (Ro*Tel), Parmesan cheese and spices. Added a dollop of Smart Balance and microwave 60 second. Really easy and better flavor. Does well with all my favorites including chicken. Pasta salad: remove pasta from packet to covered, vented microwavable bowl. Heat for 60 seconds (microwaves vary). Add your favorites including sauce and refrigerate in bowl until cold. It refrigerates and reheats for left overs, too. For best results do not over/under cook . . . check microwave settings! Easy to store dispenser box with good 'shelf life.' The packet says two servings and that is applicable for me . . . with sauce plus, this is one large serving!Medical diagnoses mean microwave cooking for me . . . I'm 72 and live alone (add two cats). I much prefer the term independent to my son's usage of stubborn. My two grandchildren seem to enjoy weekend sleepovers. The girl child (10) prefers rice but the boy child (8) always asks for pasta with Parmesan cheese and butter. As the 'pro,' he gave both the Gemelli and Penna Five Stars and I agree!

I have always gotten Barilla Pasta for dinner only in the pound size box that I had to boil. It is so convenient not have to get a large pop out and wait for the water to boil and then cook for so many minutes etc. The ready made is so fast and convenient and it only takes seconds to get dinner ready. I would like to get a box with a variety of pasta types inside instead of using the same type all the time. I don't use the elbow macaroni at all but I do use the all the rest of them. I can pick and choose what I want at the market but recently the supply is off and on, and can't get any sometime when I shop.

I like the product very much. It taste good. The only problem is the expense.

My son is a soup kid for sure. He likes his pasta on the harder side, so it is impossible to make him homemade soup where the noodles or not like mush.These are perfect in every wayWhen the soup is complete, I put it on a hard boil. Pour the pasta in for 60 seconds, and then they’re doneI pour them in microwavable trays pile them in my refrigerator, and even through the microwave the noodles stay on the harder sideSo for anyone who likes Addante noodles this is your lifesaver.

Literally throw them in the microwave for 60 seconds and you are good! I love these! They can be a little more chewy than regular noodles, but they are good for how quick and convenient they are.

A must if you have teenagers, or even for the parent/taxi-driver/dog-walker who always forgets to eat! My son has a healthy breakfast, plus I pack healthy snacks & water to go with a large lunch. His first words at pick up are “I’m starving!”. I can pop one of these in the microwave, add butter, garlic, pepper, and voilà! It doesn’t kill his appetite for supper (1st or 2nd) and on the days I realize it’s almost 2pm & I haven’t eaten, I add fresh grated Parmesan and spices for a 2 minute meal to keep me going. We always have these in our pantry!

Very convenient and the taste is okay if (but only if) you like your pasta "al dente" -- i.e., hard rather than soft. And, in my opinion, this "instant" pasta definitely does NOT not taste the same as Barilla (or any other brand) pasta that you boil in a pot.
