I first went to a big box store and could not find the right size spring or the install rods or anyone to help. This torsion spring was easy to buy exactly the correct gauge and length and fit. The install bars were solid and had grip handles and it even came with gloves and instructions. Installed easily. Great product.

Great replacement for the old spring. No issues and liked that it was the full package with the installation kit.

Had a single spring that snapped in half. Used the writing on the existing one to order this one. Fit perfectly. I watched a 16 minute youtube video to help with the install. Completed the project by myself in less than an hour! Worked 2nd try. I slightly overtightened the spring the first time. Backed it off two quarter turns and perfection! Super happy. My buddy recently replaced his as well. But before trying to do it himself he was quoted almost $900 for garage door company to come out and do it. If you have any reservations about doing it yourself....just do it. You wont regret it. Oh ya, the quality of this spring is higher than that of the original. The original had a plastic spacer / bearing at the end of the spring. This one has an steel bearing. Very happy.

Product is great. Didn't come with the instructions advertised but there's plenty of help on YouTube. Was easy to install but getting the old one off was tricky. Careful to look at the writing on the coils to see if it's still got tension. I'd let the tension off the old one but it still was coiled up on one side which made unscrewing it really tough and felt a little dangerous. Just had to go slow and keep a safe distance. Took a few hours. By the end of it I was happy to learn something new but hiring someone to do it for $400-500 seems reasonable after the fact.

1st time replacing torsion springs, right side broken but replaced both sides shipping was fast ordered 8 Sept. and received 11 Sept. from Florida- California, it was packaged well. Saved me $$$! Easy for me to replace I'm a bit DIY. Just watched some you tube videos and careful when winding springs (Always keep tension). Just missing from the box is the 1" steel bearing, it was shipped later from here in California and no note that it will be shipped separately, already installed springs when the steel bearing arrived, I used the old one (Plastic). Garage door is working again I'm not going to uninstall and install it to put the steel bearing. So far I'm happy with the purchase from this company.

Received product as described. It included the tool for torquing the spring which was very useful since I didn't have one. The only thing that was bad was not the product but the USP delivery. I don't think it was the product's company's fault but more of the USP delivery being 1 day late. I saw the USP delivery come on the day of the delivery but must have forgotten something because they left. So, I don't blame the product. So, I'm just doing a review on the product. I love that it included the 2 torque tools which I didn't have so that was very useful. The product worked as installed and the price compared to others is great.

I love that I could just go on Amazon and find this. It arrived a week ahead of schedule and was a perfect fit! If you have basic mechanical skills this is a fairly easy install - one person can handle it alone, but two people would make the job easier, and safer, I think. Just make sure you pay close attention to the ordering instructions to get the right measurements, etc. Also, watch the brief video and you shouldn't have any issues. I had to add a little more tension after the first week, but I'm not sure if that's natural or if I didn't have the set screws tight enough, otherwise things are working great.Excellent quality parts and the inclusion of the adjusting rods, gloves and new bearing was a big bonus. The price is pretty decent, and the money you save doing it yourself makes it well worth it. I highly recommend it.

Was looking at getting them done professionally as mine broke. Spent about 2 days doing research as I am a bit of a handy man myself. After that bought them and installed in a matter of a couple hrs in total and haven’t had problem since. Much quieter just be sure to oil every couple months
