My mother had als, and was unable to eat solid food. By the end, she also had a difficult time getting liquids down because the muscles in her throat stopped working. She was going through towels like crazy so I purchased these to try to help her stay dry and catch some of the liquid that would dribble down her chin. They worked well enough, except that really they are meant to catch crumbs not liquid. So we ended up having to rig it so the folded up corners were closed and liquid wouldn't come out the sides into her lap. In the end, we shoved towels in the "pocket" and that helped! These were truly a lifesaver in keeping her dry and clean when she wasn't able to do so herself. Plus, because they were pretty patterns, she felt less like an invalid and more like a human who deserved to feel as good about herself as possible, even when dying a tragic death.

Bought these for my elderly aunt. They are so pretty and they do the job. She loves them and her caretaker loves them as well! I definitely recommend.

I was disappointed in this product due to the snaps for the crumb catcher were installed backwards. The only way to properly use the bibs is to turn them inside out. The whole reason I purchased to begin with was because of the lovely design on the front. This was a gift for my elderly mother, who refuses to wear them 'backward'.

But when you have to eat in bed, like in the hospital, or recovering from anything unpleasant...after you have a baby, back surgery, pneumonia, etc., nothing works better to keep the food off you and the sheets!They would also be perfect for eating messy food at home...ribs, crabs, barbecue...

I bought these for my grandmother who is a bit shakey when eating. They are such fun colors she doesn't really mind wearing them and they are easy to clean.

My sister is our Moms care giver and she found the bibs to be very helpful in trying to keep Mom clean during meal time
