After much research I decided to take the plunge and buy THIS set of Gauges. the reason I chose this one and not others is for the following reasons.... 1. this product comes with a case, very important because there is a lot of small parts, and adapters the can be lost and there's room for extra parts stems etc. 2.this is a big one... this manifold is a 4 way. this means not only I can use it for recharging A/C, but I can now do RECOVERY. I spoke with a local scrap yard and made a deal to recover the fridges, freezers, a/c units for them. I stop once a week and get paid for each recovery I do!!. 3. best bang for the buck. sure there are many more fancier units out there and for a LOT MORE money, but in the end this one does the same job.... and much simpler to use.... Oh, did I mention that it was cheaper?? WAY CHEAPER. 4. very good quality, robust in build and nice design too. it also has a sight glass so you can see the Freon moving. The seller really jumped to the plate and answered me very quickly, the package was opened when I got it and it was missing a couple of adapters. right away they offered to send me the missing parts. GREAT PRODUT, GREAT QUALITY, AND GREAT SELLER!!! sounds like a hat trick to me!!

This unit had decent reviews and the features I was looking for in a non-professional sense. The unit looked ok when received, but when going to use it for the first time today, the low quality was obvious. The first vaccuum and pressurization to 50 psi was fine however the gauge then had a +5 psi offset and then I could not get a full vacuum reading. I figured no problem, the gauge has a zero adjustment screw. Well it is only for looks. It was so tight it would not budge and the slotted screw driver used was deformed the slot in the screw head. Junk! The valves seem to work ok, but the knobs are loose and wobble around. If I could I would return it! My advice, spend a little extra and get a better set.

If you are looking to test your AC and have never used manifold gauges before, these can be confusing as there is no information given to you when you buy them, just the gauges and box. Something that is almost certainly going to see high pressures , toxic sub zero gasses under pressure, It should at least have something with it explaining the outputs in and inputs.
