I managed to get my last charger wet after a coffee spill and it died with an impressive electronic "Pop!" so I needed to replace it. I didn't want to spend much, so my attention was drawn to this Sumvision charger.It describes itself as a "High Speed" charger but it really isn't, and the phones and tablets I've tried it with don't recognise it as a fast charger, so I have to use another fast charger if I'm in a rush.With six ports, a green LED power light, and a larger rubber rectangle underneath to stop it sliding around on my desk, it's very sensibly designed as far as I'm concerned. It feels solid and doesn't rattle or make any buzzing noises in use. The mains lead it comes with is decent quality too.I bought this to use as a multi-port everyday USB power source, and for that purpose it's pretty good. It works just fine and I'm happy with it.I'll admit I'd be happier if it featured Qualcom & Quick Charge functionality, and there's a part of me that wishes I'd splashed out on one of Anker's PowerIQ chargers (which are great), but I couldn't find a 6-port charger with fast charging at a price I was willing to pay. So I'm happy enough with my purchase. But I suggest you buy with care if you really want a fast charger, as this might not fast charge your phone.

This is quite a well known brand of electronics manufacturers albeit a small one.I have a number of Sumvision media players and powerbanks over the years and they have always proven reliable with good aftersales when I have put some very difficult technical questions to their online support.The fact that their tech support is UK based and free to use is another positive for me.However the price is towards the budget end of the market, so I was only expecting average performance from the charger at best.But a batteries of tests later actually put this as one of the best multi-charger I have ever tested so far.I have stress tested all 6 ports at maximum load and beyond.Power delivery test result shows the Sumvision charger output above the advertised 50W by well over 10% which shows good headroom and margin of safety.All 6 ports at maximum load shows very stable and clean output.And going beyond maximum load shows very quick cut off and safety protection.It was also relatively cool to touch even when all 6 ports are in use indicating a good degree of thermal dissipation and efficiency.Power usage test shows idle power usage at only 20mW. This is so low that I measured it again just to double check.Absolutely excellent result.I also measured efficiency of the charger under load.Again, it did really well at 75% efficiency which puts it at the top tier of even the bigger brand chargers.Oscilloscope traces shows a nice flat stable graph with virtually no voltage spikes.Frequency spectrum chart again shows a flat and low graph, confirming there is little ripple and very well controlled power delivery even at maximum load.This Charger does exceptionally well at filtering out spikes and noise.On fact, it is probably one of the best chargers I have tested so far, falling just a bit behind the official Apple charger which is the gold standard for all chargers to aim for.Good noise and ripple suppression are extremely important in determining the long-term health of the electronic devices plugged in to a charger.As poor chargers with high ripple effect may still charge your device quickly but all that noise and fluctuation is quickly degrading your electronic devices over time.In fact, I am convinced this is one of the main reasons some people’s phone battery only last a year and a bit while others can work for years, putting aside charging cycle usage difference.Clean stable power delivery is a must for reliability and longevity.So overall, I am very impressed with this Sumvision Universal Multi-Charger.It is a really well designed charger with good quality build and components that delivers very clean stable power.It has all the requisite CE, FCC and RoHS certification which gives you peace of mind.And the high efficiency and beyond excellent noise filtering makes it an absolute bargain at £15.50.I simply cannot find a better charger quality even anywhere close to this price.

Following the product recall of my previous purchase, I went for the 6 port charger which does seem to charger more quickly even when using it to charge 4 devices at this same time.Feels nice and study. Looks to be well made.

I decided to purchase a USB charger for two reasons. FIrstly, I have one spare power socket near me that requires me to charge my iphone, ipad and headphones on rotation and secondly as a avid traveller ( or was ) I was previously on a travel adapter that had two sockets and required to charge the aformentioned devices with the addition of a power bank. The travel adaptor was quite bulky and I wasn't feeling like I was getting the worth out of it considering its large size.I honestly was struggling to locate a USB travel adapter that had more than two ports so I decided to purchase a dedicated multi hub charger. Now this presented a problem as I now have two bulky travel items, so I went and did some research to get a much smaller and portable general travel adapter and just use the hub as the main USB charging source.I did some research on various USB charging devices, I settled on this one as I've had previous good experiences with their products and had no qualms of getting a hub device from them.I've been using this for several weeks at home and I am delighted with my purchase. It can charge all of my devices simulataneously and very quickly and honestly have had no issues whatsoever, there's something incredibly refreshing with not having to hot swap my devices to charge, a first world problem i guess! Jokes aside I am very happy with this purchase and am very excited to start travelling again once this whole pandemic issue has settled down as I have no doubt in my mind this is going to make the travel experience much more pleasant!
