Retinol and AOX Renewal Cream - Retinol Cream, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Resveratrol and Green Tea (1oz)

I have pale, dry, somewhat-sensitive, mature skin that has a few dark spots due to overexposure to the sun during my youth.My facial skincare routine:MORNINGS - wash in shower using a facial wash, exfoliating every few days.Apply serum then finish with a moisturizer containing SPF or just sunscreen, depending on how rushed I am.EVENINGS - Clean face using a cotton round dipped in Miceller water, apply serum, and thicker moisturizer or nighttime masque.This is a lovely set of skincare products containing all the best ingredients to take care of my aging skin. The serum and renewal cream was absorbed quickly into my skin, leaving it feeling soft and supple and not at all irritated. I try not to overuse Retinol products as they can be irritating but that was not the case here. My skin was noticeably softer and smooth after a couple of weeks of use but it's a bit soon to tell if my dark spots are fading. It is a bit pricey but that seems to be the case these days for quality products. It would also make a nice gift for someone seeking quality skincare.

Though I ordered Clinical's eye cream, instead, I received Clinical's facial serum. Being a Vine order, I'm fine with that. Just be aware that my review is for the serum and not the eye cream.This facial serum comes beautifully packaged in a big white box with a large front flap to keep it closed. It's also tied up in a pretty black ribbon with the company's logo printed in the ribbon. Inside, the items are protected with lots of white crepey paper strips that create a nest for safe enclosure of the serum which is also packed inside of another beautiful white box. The bottle is extremely secure with all of that packing.Also included, is a very pretty white leather cosmetic bag. Feels wonderful to the touch and will easily hold this serum, along with several other cosmetic items. There were also several serum samples thrown in with the box.The serum itself is quite good. At first it looks and feels oily during application. But once you start to spread this around, any oiliness goes away and you just have that slight dampness of a good serum. That absorbs quickly and goes to work right away to have you looking good. Once it sets, you will not have any oily or greasy residuals left on the surface of your skin.It works well to make your skin more supple and elastic. Will also firm up the skin and leave it feeling soft. Moisturizes the skin a little bit and leaves it looking more radiant. Helps to diminish fine lines, but can't say that it plumps up the skin all that much. Works great with other skincare products, as well as with your makeup. A very easy serum to use.Best for those with normal to slightly dry skin, though it's also good for those with dry skin. Those with drier skin will just need to boost up their moisturization a bit more afterwards with their moisturizer. This serum will help with conditioning the skin before you apply your moisturizer. Quite good for those of us with combination skin. Clean and easy to use. Seems safe for those with sensitive skin. Good for both men and women alike.

I can say I... didn't notice much effect compared to more affordable retinol treatments I've tried before. I have almost no wrinkles and generally decent skin, so I don't think this was necessarily meant for someone like myself. Retinol is supposed to help reduce pore size (and I have pretty big ones) and I didn't notice much reduction there. All of that said, this is great in every other way, and spreads/absorbs in the best way possible on my skin.
