HENCKELS Forged Premio Kudamono Paring Knife, 3-inch, Black/Stainless Steel

I know there are hundreds of paring knives that cost next to nothing, but if you had to use them every day it would be nice if they fit your hand. This knife is well made, fits my hand, holds an edge as well as the expensive brands do, but this one has a granton edge. I know most people don't care if a slice of apple or potato sticks to the blade when slicing, but that is where the granton edge separates this knife from the pack. Get one and try it, the results will speak for themselves. It is the little things that make life simpler in the kitchen and this little knife is one of those things.

Bought them a Christmas gift they were a hit just as described and nice and sharp handle is very comfortable and feels good in your hand

Nice feel, weight good. Flat bottom is good for using a cutting board on small items. Surprisingly sharp - I did not realize how dull my old knife was until I used this. The short length is perfect for a single mushroom or bell pepper on a cutting board. Not cheap, but worth it. I may get a 2nd one.

This is a good value paring knife, and one of the only options for a sheep's foot paring knife that isn't a molded plastic disposable. Steel quality is what you'd expect, standard German culinary steel, worked in China. Handle is fine and comfy. Forged construction gives it a good weight in the palm, which is a good thing for a paring knife that will be used in the air 99% of its lifespan.My only gripe with it, is the Granton edge/scalloped blade. Having the scallops only on one side is completely useless, if you are left-handed. I have seen much cheaper knives scallop both sides of the blade, so there is no excuse for a huge brand like Zwilling JA Henckels to add them purely for cosmetics.

For a forged knife from a manufacturer well known for its quality, the price is fantastic. As for the knife itself: it is very easy to use, with a good sized handle that fits the hand well, and a very sharp blade. I look forward to using this knife for years to come.

scalloped blade only on one side ???guess roc copied the wusthofs but forgot major design issuenot worth the $25- maybe a $5- knife at best
