Better than anything at US stores
I bought this the first time when I was shopping at duty free in Germany airport, and I am so happy I can buy on Amazon! My favorite coffee! Nothing at US supermarkets compare

Delicious Coffee / bad price
I quite liked this coffee, to the point I would totally purchase it as my regular daily grind, except that the price is pretty high. I guess because they import from Germany.

Aroma, low acidity, and smoothness.
This coffee is simply awesome. I discovered this coffee by accident while browsing Amazon. The logo looked familiar, and I immediately recalled that brand from long time ago when I have had lived in Soviets around 1980's or so. It was instant coffee, but it was good. Anyway, I just grinded the beens and brewed them in my Presto percolator. I brewed 1800ml ( 60 Oz) of iced water and 18 tablespoons of fresh ground coffee beans. It turned out a little stronger, but aroma and taste aren't overwhelming at all. Perfect. I put 1 Oz of half and half a long with 4 tbsp of dark mascovado sugar in my 600ml (20 Oz) mug, well, to say at least, it's an endulgement. Amazing taste. I drink a lot a coffee and mostly use whole beans from European countries like quite an impressive line of product by Italian Lavazza and such, and this coffee will be definitely ordered again. If you brew it right, you will love it. Starbucks, Caribou, and others are subpar considering all factors like price of course and everything. It takes some time, effort, and love to make great coffee from my perspective. I am 50 now and have been drinking coffee for 35 years. Anyway, sorry if I am overwhelming. This coffee makes an outstanding, great flavored, and excellent beverage. You shouldn't have any regrets buying it.

Great flavor
We lived in Germany for 3 years and drank this there. It is one of the smoothest coffees we have found. Disappointed to see it no longer on the subscribe and save.

Blend of Arabica and Robusta beans is mild
Recently I was trying a list of different coffee brands. I came across the Dallmayr Caffe Crema Forte and find their blend of Arabica and Robusta beans quite nice. I was curious to know if another German brand would be similar. No. Between Jacobs and Dallmayr, I prefer Dallmayr. It's not so much I enjoy it as it is vs. it smooths everything out with other blends. I tried to do that with the Jacobs and it is not the same. Both I tried black, with sugar, milk, combo and blended with other coffee. Jacobs doesn't have the je ne sais quoi I was hoping for.I'm sure if anyone likes it espresso style or another way, either one can deliver the mild taste. I would lean more towards Dallmayr. These brands have been around for a few generations. The older generations are more used to them. It's similar to the idea of Folgers in the states, but taste better than that. Since Germany drinks quite a bit of coffee compared to their neighbors, I'm sure they have a good formula for every other brand. If this brand is offered to me for half the price, I still would not buy again. Not bad. Just not the same enjoyment as it is or blended with other coffees. When it doesn't stand out either way, the price does not make much difference. In ways, the price is higher than it should be for lacking in taste. Understand the price is higher due to it coming from abroad. I was hoping this be similar to Dallmayr, but no. I'm more curious to try every other one by Dallmayr. It's the only brand that has me curious out of the long list. Not even trying to be brand specific vs. find a good coffee.Anyone that wants smooth and mild, the German coffees are known for that. Italy makes it intense with their blends. Definitely smell the difference if you have the Caffe Barbera 1870 brand made in Italy that has the combo of Brazil and Indonesia beans vs. the German brands. If you blend the 2 together, it balances out nicely with a 1:2 ratio. Italian : GermanMix that with soy or any milk of your choice with the natural sweetness and a hint of sugar or honey and it gives a nice, smooth all around texture and flavor.Anyone that prefers a more mild, low acidity, not the intense aroma for a coffee, the German ones are good. Even if you get a medium roast for both German and Italian made, the Italian will have more intensity in general. They blend the 2 types of beans to balance, but still it's more intense.
