Colin McRae: DiRT (Xbox 360)

I got this for the different courses in it The graphics aren't that good compared to Dirt 2 and 3 But I wanted all the dirt games

This game when it came out was head of its time the people who work on this game did a great job sadly with the title of being the most realistic rally game you could play has gone over the years cause when Dirt 4 came along it made a even more realistic rally game then this game and then not long after we got Rally 2.0 what out beat Dirt 4 but, Back before these two games this was the game that was the most realistic with its rally controls and gameplay you could play so even tho it isn't the most realistic anymore, What it does still has going strong is the gameplay cause they added truck raceing in this game and even added them rally trucks as well you also got hill climb races what were heck of fun and also the most easyest to break and crash with they lightness and they speeds these unique race type events in the game have still not been seen in any of the dirt games to this day still. The graphics tho to me don't feel outdated just yet but, as time goes on it is starting to look outdated give it like 2-3 more years then 100% will start to look bit too old so go pick this gem up even if its cracking away as more modden day games are filling the gap, I played it years ago and enjoyed it and i played it again and i still enjoyed the game one of the best dirt games to play for sure.(btw don't ever go buy the PC verison i learned the hard way that it was a bad port and it didn't work on my pc most likely why it isn't on steam anymore well the game kinda did but day 2 it was really breaking down and day 3 unplayable as game started to run at 3-8 fps day 4 can't play it at all wouldn't work and gave up trying to find a fix on day 5 of owning it so came to buy the xbox360 one cause i knew thatone worked)

Having played all the dirt games except the original i decided to purchase the game which started it all and for £3 you can't argue. Having felt dirt 2 ran a little too long with too many races i expected the same from this and was correct to some degree, the career was rather fun offering the different disciplines such as rally, cross, hill climb etc all of which felt strong and well put together i.e specially set out tracks designed for each race, i found myself enjoying working up each tier to reach the top and finally complete the game, there is only two problems i have with this game: 1. The co-driver either calls out directions too late and you find yourself colliding head on with trees etc or he shouts random numbers so fast you don't know if your turning left or right, 2. The championship is too long and having a combined world rally which takes 2-3 hours of already played tracks is overkill, my summary is its a must buy game for racing fans and offers a unique sim like game with plenty or races and tracks to keep you happy, 4*

Brilliant game and disc in perfect condition. All in all a good deal. Happy!

Great game reminds me of my younger days

Loved it! It's as close to the original Colin McRae rally game which I played to death on my PC. Only wish the co-driver didn't have an American accent. Much preferred the Scottish burr of McRac's co-driver.
