So.. After looking at these mats and all the prices as I'm a bit skint I went for the cheapest I could find. I'm often in pain or find my back has seized up overnight. I woke up this morning feeling terrible with a painful middle section with muscles all scrunched up between my hips and bottom of rib cage so I got the mat out to see if it would actually do anything. I laid it on my bed, I did this skin on to spikes... It hurts like hell, I had to wriggle about until it was something I could cope with. After only 2 minutes I couldn't stand it any more, the spikes feel like they're on fire pressing into your skin. I got up..... And all the painful muscle tension had gone! Absolutely fantastic, sorted out in only a few minutes and I'm sure as I use it more and more I'll be able to cope better with the spikes. If you're suffer, it's definitely worth a go.

Such an odd product, thought about giving it 5 stars but I don’t have anything to compare it against for reference. I love it, my wife hates it. As far as mats with spikes on go, this is appears to be a fairly decent one. The spikes are quite sharp, but not very long. It does hurt to start with, but the pain soon subsides. I suffer from 2 kids of back pain (rib shoulder joint inflammation and nerve pain) and this mat seems to help. I use it for 10 minutes before going to bed each night and all seems well.Worth a go for a tenner, stick with it and you never know, it may just help

Game changer!I have all my house guests give it a go and they love it.Stand on it for relief in feet and calves after hikes.Put your hands on it for relief in your wrists and forearms after lots of typing/writing or climbing.Lie on it for back relief, relaxation and warmth - this always makes me so cosy and sleepy

This is a great price! You will have to build up to laying on it for a while, I thought I’d lay on it for 20 mins on my first go (it’s not big or clever!) and I felt so sick afterwards! I’ve now built myself up to that amount of time, but it’s worth the perseverance, no pain no gain!

It’s a bit rough, so quite painful to use. The only way I can use it is in a pillow case

Wow, just got this and used it straight away as my back was aching. I spent 15 mins on it and as other users have said the first couple of minutes are interestingly painful but then you feel a warmth going through the parts of your body which are touching the mat and within another 5 minutes I'd begun to feel warm and kinda cozy! After 15 mins on it i carefully got up and my back pain had gone completely. Obviously only used it once but this is a very cheap mat and if it only gets a few uses then it's still great value for money. I don't review stuff i buy as a rule but this is an exception as such good value and absolutely did what it was meant to do. Feeling refreshed!!

A friend of mine has the expensive version of this mat and I can’t really see any difference tbh. Very strange sensation first few times used but surprisingly very comfortable, relaxing and effective! I have an old back injury which flares up at times and bad posture which I feel is improving with every session. For the money it is well worth a go!
