Activated Carbon maximizes the removal of contaminants, helping to keep water clean and clear. It is especially effective for the removal of chlorine and chloramines from tap water making it ideal for use in all home aquariums, ponds, water features etc. Pellet form carbon allows for maximum water coverage. Average pellet diameter is 2mm. It is recommended that prior to initial use that the activated carbon is rinsed to remove any residual dust or residue. Once installed and in use, the carbon can be rinsed with aquarium or pond water during maintenance. Replacement is recommended every 3 months.

I used them in my back filter aquarium by putting some into filter bags and the rest as spare now have enough to last for at least a year will buy again as this helps to reduce nitrates

Not Good Carbon
I have been using activated carbon for over 20 years, a quick rinse until the water runs clear and into the filter.I have been rinsing this carbon for over 2 hours and the water is still black, I think this is not ACTIVATED CARBON as described.

Tiny little bag. Wilkos used to sell large bags for £1. Going to have try and find somewhere else as this is no where near enough for my filter.
