Fun craft for kids of all ages.
Ordered this for extra credit in college and fell in love. It’s such a fun scavenger hunt to find items in the yard or even your house to print on this paper.

Cure in a room with no sunlight…and
If you rinse them really well, change your water between each paper. You will see the yellow solution in it when you put it done win the drain. I let them dry in a room with no sunlight, and I then sprayed them with clear acrylic spray from the spray paint isle at the hardware store. They look amazing hung together in my living room as a natural art installation! Really inexpensive way to put some color in the room!

Simple to use, great for kids
We used this paper for making nature photo art for girl scouts. I expected the paper to be thicker like photo paper, but it still worked great. The plexiglass they give you with the kit wasn't heavy enough to hold down our leaves and flowers so I used some old glass from a broken picture frame. That did the trick. You want light items to press down as much as possible so the light doesn't get underneath them and develop the paper. I plan on buying again to try with more objects.

Fun and imaginative
My two school-aged kids and I used this when they were learning about solar energy. You can use the paper by itself; you don't need to purchase the whole kit. Basically, it's light-sensitive paper that can be made into artwork by placing everyday objects on top of it and letting it sit in the sun for about 5 minutes. My kids were amazed to see a silhouetted "imprint" of the images once they removed the objects. They used a starfish, a button, a plastic lizard, a Lego piece, etc. You then rinse the paper under water (which defies logic, I know) to set the image. Watch the paper change shades of blue! Let the paper dry, press it in a book to flatten it, and frame it. We followed the directions to a "T" and didn't have any problems.

OK, but not as much fun as I remembered as a kid
No matter how careful we were, the images were kind of blurry and not too impressive. Kept the kids interest for about 10 minutes and required more patience than 2 five year olds had.

Made 3 grandchildren artists!!
Easy to follow directions, just remember to remove protective film from acrylic plate. Worked great on a bright sunny day with about a 2 minutes exposure.

Really Fun Experiment!
Really a fun experiment to do with my son! He didn’t understand all of it yet, but it was cool to go gather things to make. FYI - you want to pull the film off the acrylic before using. The directions fail to mention this. Overall neat product and a fun home project.

Great for Classical Conversations Groups
We used this for Classical Conversations Cycle 2. They were easy to use--not too finicky, and forgiving on time, washing method, and choice of shadow-creating bits. They also dried quickly after use so the kids were able to take them home without a mess. I do wish Sun Art would sell a separate acrylic overlay for classroom type use (this pack came with one, but we were working with 7 students, so one overlay didn't do much good--we used clear plastic bags instead. I like the value of the smaller sheets--we were able to allow each student to do 2 prints (the second was just their hand outline, which kept them still for almost 2 minutes! Ha!).
