Dvbsky S950 PCIe card (low profile) with 1x DVB-S2 tuner

Works pretty well, even receives 4k UHD channels. The player provided is a bit too basic but ok if you just want to use one satellite but a much better player is SmartDVB , it takes some work to find the best version to suit your system and to get the codecs etc working properly and then takes quite some time to set up channels and scan etc., you do need to know what you're doing with this kind of thing but the card works well and very good value compared to others.

The installation is quite simple under linux and with VDR it work really well, my configuration includes:VDR 2.1.xxXBMCDiseqc with 4 LNBStreaming of the channels to all my device including my phoneWhat really like about the card is how quick is switching from one channel to another.what I don't like is the quality of the image (not perfect) but I still don't know if is related to a software issue or the device itself.

fits my Mediacenter PC and works well I use MediaPortal as the TV server I only used the supplied disk for the device drivers I already had a DVB-S2 USB device so I only needed a single tuner to use both of my SKY disk feeds otherwise I would have gone for the dual tuner version

Cracking piece of kit with good software. Sadly I couldn't achieve what I wanted with it but cannot fault the product. It was easy enough to get it working, the remote worked flawlessly and the software was easy enough to figure out with a modicum of computer knowledge. It works well with windows media centre also.

Great plug and play, would rank 5 stars if the UI was a bit more region friendly. Took some time to work out how to operate it.

Excellent product. Works perfectly with Kubuntu 15.10 and Kaffeine, just needed to download the firmware from (...) and follow the instructions. No drivers to install or anything to compile.

Great little dvb-s2 card easy to install and works under windows and media portal fine. Great picture quality.

works a treat in a 5 year old PC picture & reception good as are the recordings.
