Corel Dazzle DVD Recorder HD, Post delivery

It wouldn't work with Win 8.1 and no matter what I did I could not find a working driver on their web site. Eventually I found one that got it running. Well, I say "running". The program started. However, I was unable to make a decent-quality transcription of any of the family VHS tapes. Most of the time the Export process just hung, after I had spent hours Importing the tape contents and settin up the Export. The supplied software is the most unintuitive I have used since the minicomputer word processor I was forced to use in the 1980s. The one tape I managed to convert looked like it was being viewed through the porridge filter. It says HD on the box but you can only think that the H stands for Hazy. Unless you are a fearless giant of the PC, avoid this

The stars are for the hardware. But read carefully. The bundled software is absolute garbage. They have tried to bundle too much into the programme and have ended up making a big pile of rubbish. The hardware is ok for Windows 11 even though says w10.. The drivers are embedded into the program somewhere so you need to install that to get it to work. AND DONT FOR THE LOVE OF GOD UPDATE. THE PROG IS UNRESPONSIVE, MAKES YOU SYSTEM RESTORE TO GET WORKING AGAIN. (uninstall / repair doesn't work) Shame on you pinnacle

The device works as the manufacturer promises. It isn't capable of digitizing HD-video, but for SD digitizing both hardware and software work without problems. Sometimes drops a few frames, but that hasn't resulted in any noticeable breaks in the digital video. Also, catching the very first seconds of a video is a bit tricky.. You might need to use the pause-button of your source analog device, because the program doesn't start catching before the video is already on.The software is fairly simple, but I found it hard to create decent looking "customized" DVD menus..Also, for those using Windows 8.1, you will need an update, in order to get the software working from here:[...]All in all, I can recommend the product :) Simple enough to use, even for those not so familiar with editing.

I bought this as I had used video capture by pinnacle before. Version 8 with Moviebox DV. This was flawless and worked perfectly. My old pc and the moviebox are no longer working. They had been lying for years unused. It was firewire connection, remember that?So I bought this one to use with my current PC using windows 10 and Pinnacle Studio 21. I had bought this software a few years ago for editing. It detected the Dazzle device but there was static noise on the audio track. I tried another device but it was the same. I then installed the software that came with it and now the static was on/off. Unsuitable for capturing. It's set me back for what I was working on. Disappointed with this device.

The disc supplied with this unit does not complete loading or registration and so I am unable to use it.Customer support is in India, and the accent is hard to understand on a bad line.The E mail address gets blocked by BT saying not a valid address .So if you by good luck.

I bought this to replace a Windows XP version. It claims to be Windows 11 compatible but one component will not install because of "unsafe" drivers. It does work without that component.I now know (!!!) the video input it uses limits it to 576 lines - a bit worse that the old 625 line TV. Certainly NOT HD!! In the description on Amazon it states "Capture video at full DVD-quality resolution" but it is not capable of "DVD-quality" resolution. Item is being returned.

Had problems installing, the picture during capture seems to start and stop. But when playing back captured video seem to play back ok.

I purchased this Dazzle Video Capture device with Pinnacle Studio software to use on my Windows 11 laptop. Despite the software clearly being labelled as compatible with Windows 11, and my laptop meeting all other required specs, the software will not work. Video captures are completely unstable and thus unusable. When I contacted customer support, and sent them pictures of the device and Pinnacle disk, they were unable to determine exactly which version of Pinnacle Studio was actually on the disk. Their only solution was to go ahead and buy the latest version, Pinnacle Studio 26. Why would I buy another useless version of their crappy software? So that wouldn't work either? Then the customer support agent I was texting with practically called me a liar and accused me of not actually purchasing the device or software, DESPITE ME SENDING THEM PICTURES OF EVERYTHING!! I had to send them the invoice from Amazon, and since then I haven't heard from them at all. Crappy product, and even crappier company and product support. Avoid at all costs!!!

La captura la hace deficiente. Los videos capturados se ven a tirones. Muy mala calidad para el precio que tiene. Y no es por culpa del equipo pues Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-10400 CPU @ 2.90GHz 2.90 GHz con 16,0 GB ram.

Bon mais dommage que toyt ce qu'on peux trouver comme tuto et autre soit en anglais et pas d'autre langue

Erfüllt alle Anforderungen für das Digitalisieren alter VHS-Videos und anschließendes Weiterbearbeiten mit einem guten und vielseitigem Bearbeitungsprogramm (Pinnacle Studio 16 in Spezialausführung, einige Funktionen wurden entfernt).
