Timeless kids show
We bought this for 2 reasons, a trip down memory & to see if our granddaughter would like it. It's great kids TV at its best We enjoyed it very much & so did our granddaughter. If something is good, it will always stand the test of time. She enjoyed it more than any of the kids TV shows she sees today. Engaging characters, simple but well constructed stories & sing-along songs with Rod, Jane & Freddy. Great quality picture & sound, well worth the money. This is one that will be watched many times.

Rainbow still going strong!
My daughter just happened to watch an old VHS version of an episode of Rainbow at school one rainy playtime and was completely hooked. So I bought her this and the Zip Up Zippy DVDs from Amazon - she hasn't stopped watching them since, asking for Zippy on every single day! I remember it first time around and thought that there wouldn't be enough in it to keep a modern child entertained but how wrong I was, its still completely watchable and entertaining as ever - brilliant stuff!!

Childhood memories
I am really surprised that my youngsters absolutely lapped this up. I bought it for my own nostalgia thinking they would think it old fashioned but they fell in love straight away and have even perfected some of the voices and devised their own imaginary Zippy system for quiet times - my 4 year tells me she uses it when her teacher does the register! I am just delighted that this low tech dated stuff still has some appeal and I can share a little taste of my childhood.

Quality Time with Zippy et al.
I've been a Rainbow fan since the 70's. Now, at 42 years of age, I bought this DVD on the pretext of giving it to my two and a half year-old daughter. I'm glad to say she loves it as much as I do. I've bought a few Rainbow videos/DVDs over the years, and I can honestly say that this one is the best compilation of episodes. Fantastic stuff!

Great First Episode
A highly evocative trip back in time to the days when I watched it whilst off school with colds, measles etc. The first ever episode 'Shapes' was particularly a delight. I agree Bungle looks as scary as hell in it, and there is no Geoffrey or George, but I enjoyed the song 'Shapes' by Telltale (who also wrote the theme tune)very much and it beats anything by Rod, Jane and Freddy.

Good trip down memory lane, too short though.
Using the same review for these rainbow dvds as i feel its appropriate. These dvds are a good trip down memory lane but they dont last long enough so if you are paying more than £5 per dvd then stay away as some dont even last 1 hour which is a joke for how many episodes were filmed back in the day. Id like to see a mega box set with every episode sometime but i doubt it will happen.

Great for Rainbow fans of any age
Ordered this as a xmas gift for my 'grown up' daughter who just loves Zippy. Its a great selection of episodes and includes narration by George and Zippy. She really loves the space shuttle episode which is included on here as is the very first episode. Great for any Rainbow fans whatever the age.
