These are probably best rafters/sandals I've ever owned.They're expensive - I got them for a significantly reduced price. But the original high price (£80-100) is definitely justified considering fit & overall quality.They're extremely comfortable with no slippage no matter the terrain - I walked on rocks, stones, dunes, tough trails with no issues. The fit is great & true to size.Very importantly - they do not stink! No matter they get wet (sea, fresh water) or just from sweat they will not smell bad like many cheaper poor quality rafters will.Get these - they are definitely worth it.

My summer walking sandals were getting well past their sell by date and then after a long time spent in a large shopping centre looking in every outdoor and shoe shop I had found nothing other than some ludicrously high priced options. Stopped for a coffee and browsed my phone to find these - which are exactly the same as the worn out shoes I wanted to replace. !!It always seems a bit boring to buy the same thing but I knew they would be comfortable and last reasonably well and they were half the price of many that I had been looking at and rejected. It was only after ordering that I found some really poor reviews and wondered if the design had changed.My concerns were unfounded. I am pleased to say they are exactly the same as my originals and for my very wide size 11 feet fit perfectly. I am still trying to understand reviews complaining they are not adjustable as they have adjustment across the foot and on the instep. the section across the foot has a non adjustable liner but that is thin soft very stretchy wet suit type material and goes around my huge wide size 11s in comfort.In conclusion these are reasonably lightweight, smart enough to wear casually as they do not look like hill walking kit, lightweight for packing, comfortable and at a reasonably sensible price. I know from experience that the soles last well. In fact although the uppers on my old shoes are really worn out the soles have masses of mileage left in them.

These are great quality and so comfortable, I have worn cheaper sandals in the past but it is worth the extra money for these Merrell.Good adjustable straps and easy to get on.

Worn them for months now. Very useful as my hiking boots left me blistered and with corns. The sandals helped in a priceless way. My blisters healed while I wore these.Not the most stylish sandal but the price is good.I take UK size 8 and feel these sandals could give you more room to tighten them. Walking in the hills in Morocco I kept wanting them tighter.I’ve done 5 x 10k in these, mountains, cliffs, fields and sand. These sandals have served me well and I highly recommend them.*** After recently buying another pair of sandals from a better brand twice the price, I still find these the best for overall comfort, securely fitting and hiking etc. I feel I’ll always buy them while they’re being made.I have a pair of their hiking boots 8 years now. Like slippers they’re so comfy. Perfect for Camino. Great brand for the feet but could be a touch more stylish

I've had several pairs of these (earlier versions of the same model too) and am a total fan. I've worn them in really hot countries on all-day walks and around summer city breaks. They have never rubbed or been uncomfortable in the slightest. You can get them wet and they just dry off whilst you're wearing them. If there is a slight problem, it is in the sole materials and this is common to Rockport's as well. If the sandals are stored in hot conditions, then after a couple of years, the sole materials harden, almost like glass! Once this happens, they are treacherous to walk in on floorboards, wet stones etc etc. Time for some new ones when this happens.I kept a pair in a sealed ikea bag away from the heat and had no such problem!So, to sum up. Very comfortable. Easily adjustable. All day wear is no problem. 100% Recommended!

Good sandals, really comfortable.

Bought these as a replacement I’ve used for 25 years. So my old Merrells finally gave up the ghost after 25 years of holidays all over the world. The new ones look almost exactly the same so am expecting another 25 years of use 🤣

They're great. This is the third pair I've bought, each previous pair has lasted many comfortable years. They're secure enough on your feet to do some serious walking, they're comfortable to not cause blisters, they're robust enough to last many years, and they're open enough to feel like sandals, not like shoes with a few holes cut in them.Only minor gripe is that the plastic shoes do encourage a bit of smelliness after a few hours of wear. Washing them frequently is a good idea. But I can't take a star off for smelly feet, and they are VERY good.
