"Resilience is faithful perseverance"
Building a Resilient Life is a must. No matter where you are on your journey there is something here for you. Rebekah shares from her heart and there are have been so many times over the years when reading her books that I have I felt like we were sitting down at coffee just chatting about life and that’s how I feel about this book. I can not tell you how many times I have thought.. oh me too! I feel that way as well.. It's like she was speaking just to me and what I'm going through. There are great tools in this book to move forward when you’re not sure how to and recognize what in your life needs to change.“Resilience isn’t about sheer strength, and it’s not about stubborn persistence either. Resilience is faithful perseverance. There is a subtle and distinct difference.” ..Rebekah is real, honest and humble. She seeks the Lord for truth and understanding and steps out in faith to share what is on her heart. You have the opportunity to lean in and grow in resilience by reading this book!

Truthful, Honest and Helpful
I am in awe of the timing of her books in my life. Rhythms of Renewal got me cultivating healthy rhythms when our world was shut down. Now, that the dust is settling, we learn with her research and honesty and God’s truth how to make meaning from our life’s circumstances in a healthy, meaningful and community minded way. I love that she reminded me that, “God always reveals the places he wants to heal.” I fully recommend this book if you are ready to do the hard work of allowing yourself to feel the pain, name it, allow God’s truth to renew your mind, embrace the waves and let God shape you until you are in His peace. I am glad this book came into my life at the right time. I cannot wait to share this book with a small book group so I can invite others to share each others burdens to develop a resilient life. Thanks, Rebekah!

There is healing and hope in this book!
I heard Rebekah Lyons speak on resilience briefly at an IF Gathering and what she shared resonated so deeply with so many in attendance. It's relevant content that speaks to what so many are feeling today. I knew that I "needed" to order the book and before the day was over, I placed the pre-order. The book came this week and I carved out a few hours to read it, and it's as good as you hope it will be. Interlaced with her personal experiences that have helped shape resilience in her life are powerful tools that once added to your aresenal, will help you start to have a different perspective about adversity and begin to embrace it in a way that gives you strength and joy throughout the very circumstances that you think might pull you under. BUY THE BOOK. APPLY IT! And then share it with someone, because I guarantee you're going to find others who are desperate for the very same help!

Powerful, poignant, and purposeful
This new book from Rebekah Lyons is powerful, poignant, and purposeful. Listening to this book has been very eye-opening for me. It has helped me work through feelings of shame and helped me react differently to difficult situations than I would have prior to reading this book. Learning to name the pain and explaining how I’m feeling in those situations has helped my reactions become more valuable and has allowed me to process things openly with others rather than brood over internally. Rebekah writes so eloquently and candidly throughout this book. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to build a more resilient life.

A very timely read for this season
I’ve not even finished this whole book, but I already feel seen, and therefore, empowered. God has continued to use Rebekah’s writing to heal parts of my story, and the work He’s done again in and through her continues through this book. It’s like He puts into place some of the puzzle pieces of my story and continues to give me words for what I’ve not yet been able to voice myself. Not only words, but also tools. I’m grateful for the mentorship I find in Rebekah’s writing- for her being a season ahead of me, telling the truth about what has been hard, and paving a new way to think and to process what has been hard and then what has been helpful. A very timely read for this season!

Adversity can awaken Strength, Hope, & Meaning
A poignant story of one woman’s quest for resilience in the face of her difficult circumstances. We’ve collectively experienced “hard” situations and conditions in recent years in light of the world pandemic along with cultural and technological changes and advancements.Join Rebekah Lyons as she uncovers what true resilience is and what it is not. Apply the 5 rules of resilience to your life and situation as you work through the book and reflect on the questions at the end of each chapter. Name the pain, shift the narrative, embrace adversity, make meaning, and endure together. So very thoughtful and insightful. A great book for a small group or book club! I’m so excited to work through it in community!
