Loved watching these films, very entertaining, good acting and storyline, will be watching again soon

What more can I add when talking about the Pirates movies? They're just damn good fun and if you can buy this demonstration quality boxset for an acceptable price, you should.Some technical things: the transfer is (obviously) sharper than the DVD, but I must say there is definitely less contrast to be seen. This leads to some unrealistic shadows, especially when combined with special effects. You can see that the digital effect shadows are different than the real ones. But this is a minor complaint.But it's not a real boxset. Here's why. Somehow it's disappointing that the Blu-rays containing first two movies have a totally different menu layout (and better) compared to the third. Considering the possibilities of Blu-ray, this is just a big miss. It seems that the third movie (At World's End) was the first to appear on Blu-ray, after which the other two older ones(Curse of the Black Pearl & Dead Man's Chest) followed. Somewhere on the way someone decided the menus could be better, so changed it for the new discs that contained the first two movies, but didn't revise this on the Blu-ray 'At World's End'. It really feels as if the three Blu-ray discs that were produced by then were wrapped together in a happy pirate carton.

After seeing one of the films on the television and loved it, as soon as I saw the box set of all 3 films I just had to get them, once you can see all 3 you can follow the story that runs all the way through the 3 films and then you can understand them so much better, full of action, thrills and laughs at times, the one liners are something else, if you want a great weekend in then watch one each evening, great family viewing (as long as they are not too young) just leave them a couple of months and watch again, just as thrilling.

My daughter is mad into the Pirates of the Caribbean. She had the first film on DVD but wanted the others. Got this as part of her birthday present. She's delighted and loves the films.I personally haven't seen the other two but she says they are amazing and very funny. She is 9The DVD's arrived on time and in good condition. Would have no problem ordering again from this supplier.It's a pity though that everything isn't free delivery. Because I am in N.Ireland I get around 2 pounds added to the delivery cost. This is something I am used to by now and not specific to this supplier or the Amazon website in particular.

I won't get pulled into the debate on how good these films are its all down to personal taste and im sure most folks have read reviews even if they haven't seen the films.Blu Ray Quality is stunning all the way through this trilogy the action sequences appear more realistic no matter how bizzare or strange the sequence is. Blu Ray seems to have a great ability to smooth out the CGI scenes in these films and makes them feel so real. The amount of extras on the discs runs into many hours worth of material.Love the films, the price is good and the blu rays are amazing,

Having seen the first Pirates of The Carribean - The Curse of the Black Pearl, at the cinema, I was excited at the prospect of seeing all three in Blu ray DVD on my new panasonic home cinema theatre system. I was not disappointed! What a great adventure, the picture was pin sharp although the sound was poor but that was due to the fact I do not have an Amplifier to boost the blu ray signal - still, a little tweek & it was blasting out all 5 speakers. The second film, Dead Man's Chest , was again, full of gripping action - that is until the picture pixellated & froze. I immediately sent a Refund into Amazon ,who, without hesitation, sent out a new box set whilst I returned the faulty one. - the second dvd was faultless. The final film, World's End, I felt was a bit over elaborate & didn't watch all of it (hence the 4 /5 stars). An excellent box set full of action & thanks to Amazon, well worth the money. If you like a good story line & swash-buckling pirate action (no swearing), buy it now.

The Pirates of the Carribean - Trilogy is a must-have. Hilarious and witty, and with an all-star cast (Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom, Keara Knightley, Geoffrey Rush and Jack Davenport). If you like a good laught, and to never know what is going to happen next, this movie is for you. Who is telling the truth? Who is working for whom? and who is getting crossed? And along with it comes a love story, a story of how to know what you want most in live and how to know who you love most. I hope you enjoy this movie just as we do!

Just so this is 100% clear, this is for the Seven-Disc Blu-ray version released 3/1/11.The set includes 7 discs, one for each movie, containing the movie, one for each movie, containing extras and a 7th disc, which is basically more extras and a preview of the 4th movie.The packaging of this set is awful. The seventh disc is in an envelope that bulges out from back of the storage box. Thinking it was attached with easy to remove rubber glue, I tried to peel it off. I was horrified to find out that a) it won't easily peel off without ripping the box b) there's a giant blank silver reflective patch under it (practically the size of the entire back of the box) and c) the envelope is attached at the bottom of the box and cannot be separated without cutting. For anyone planning to keep this on their shelf, do NOT try to remove the cheap outer envelope. Personally, all my discs are going into a different storage system, so the box was headed to the trash anyway. Just wanted to give everyone some fair warning about the poor packaging. On to the good...I am not a huge fan of these movies content. The first one is decent, the second is tolerable and the third is downright terrible. Rather than bash poor writing and the other host of problems with the movie, let me say this: these Blu-rays look and sound absolutely incredible. In the first movie, there's a scene in the beginning where Elizabeth Swan is waking up from her dream about rescuing William Turner as a child. There is a candle in the room. I can hear the candle flickering on the surround sound. There are many other great instances on this film: sails flapping in the wind, waves lapping, wind blowing, ships creaking. I have no Blu-ray movies that are truly 100% immersive, this set is as close as it gets. The action scenes are also great. They didn't overdo the bass or LFE at all, like most action films unfortunately do. The fact that the audio is produced in full lossless LPCM 5.1 (48kHz, 24-bit) makes a huge difference. Visually, the movie is just as stunning. Disney is well known for doing an awesome job of porting their movies to Blu-ray and this is no exception. This is truly a reference quality set of movies and I highly recommend it to anyone who really wants to show off their home theater system and put it through its paces.This is, by far, the best looking Blu-ray set I've ever seen. If you want to see the future of home theater, buy this set. Absolutely awesome.

最初はレンタルで借りて見ていたのですが、また見たい！と思う楽しい映画だったのでブルーレイで３パック購入しました。やはり最高ですね！

Pirates of the Caribbean - Die Piraten-Trilogie ist der absolute Hammer.Die Filme sind einmalig gut und die schauspielerische Qualität ist wirklich unereicht wenn man mich fragt.Die Überarbeitung von Teil 1 und Teil 2 auf BlueRay Niveau ist sehr gelungen, allerdings zeigt sich die eigentliche Qualität der BlueRay erst im 3. Teil. Gestochen scharfes Bild ist garantiert und das auch bei rassanten Szenen.Einziges Manko ist die etwas lieblos gestaltete "Papp-Box". Für den Preis hätte ich mir schon eine Steal-Box gewünscht á la Iron Man 1+2.Jetzt stehen alle 3 Teile halt einzeln im Regal - sieht auch schick aus ;)Dadurch sind die Filme keinesfalls schlechter weshalb ich bei 5 * bleibe!
