The PUPiL Graduate case was meticulously designed in Cambridge, England. Great detail has been applied to every stage of the design and manufacturing process in order to achieve an outstanding finish. The case was constructed to provide protection, while the quality and design complement your iPad Air aesthetically. Every case is individually hand-crafted from genuine leather and bound using cotton stitching for a superior finish. The fine skin ages with use taking on a wonderfully original look in time. The case was ergonomically designed to offer a wide range of viewing angles for everyday use, while the multi-position stand allows the user to perform a multitude of tasks in comfort. We have incorporated an energy conscious, battery saving auto sleep / wake cover with a magnetic tab closure mechanism. Automatically locking your iPad once the cover is closed and instantly awakening the device when the case is opened. Finally, the iPad case is presented in our brilliant two part card gift box, carefully wrapped in tissue paper and finished with a removable PUPiL embossed leather swatch hand tied to the case.

Misplaced magnets and only the tag appears to be genuine leather.
This case failed to switch on and off the iPad Air 1 when opened and closed, probably due to misplaced magnets. I also have reservations about the quality of the 'genuine leather' - I believe it is polyurethane-backed PU leather, apart from the tag which is genuine leather. A close look at the cutout for the rear facing camera appears to confirm that this is not real leather. The dark brown colour probably doesn't help here as it makes it appear rather plastic-like.While it has 'Cambridge - England' written on the box and product, perhaps that is supposed to refer to the design - the product is probably made in China. There are positive aspects - the presentation is excellent for a gift. In fact they seem to have taken more care over the box and packaging than the product itself. I have the PUPIL case for my iPad 3 in black and that feels well-made and even a little more like real leather - in practice I believe it is also PU leather, but it seems to be of higher quality than the brown one. The cut out for the forward facing camera wasn't quite correctly aligned for that though, so I had to insert some padding to correct this.I would probably give the iPad 3 version 4 stars, but this iPad Air version is being returned due to misplaced magnets, and poor materials, hence a disappointing 2 stars.

Very Posh iPad Protection at a Great Price
Having bought one of these cases (in red) for our eldest child, we have also now bought one for the smallest child. It is a quality product, well made - the first one is three years old and still in very good condition, despite being used (abused?) on a daily basis. They provide a great level of protection for delicate technology in clumsy hands, work well to prop up the screens and feel like a solid, quality product. In addition, they look great, (for both child or adult) and come beautifully packaged. It would be great if a few more colours were available though - the only real 'child friendly' colour is red, but that's a small price to pay and so really this should probably be a 4.5 star score. I would happily recommend this to anyone with an iPad mini to protect.Update: Just bought the third Pupil case bought - the first two for my kid's iPad Mini's which have proven to be extremely durable and offer great protection. This one was bought to replace a trust Apple Smart Cover, and arrived very quickly, in the very quality packaging. It does add significant weight to the whole iPad, which I am getting used to, but offers more protection and certainly works better than the Smart Cover when holding the iPad upright. My only gripe would be that I can't swipe 'up' from the bottom of the screen without either forcing the leather holder out, or taking it out completely, which isn't ideal, but other than that, feels great and I'm certain it will age well and look after my aging iPad for a number of years to come.

Very nice given the price, but...
This PUPiL case was sold by iZilla (fulfilled by amazon), and I have to say I feel a bit guilty giving the product 3 stars, given that I only paid £13.95 for it. It is REAL leather, and has a classy look and feel. It fits snugly but it is very easy to insert and remove my iPad from the case. You can plug in the charging cable and earbuds without removing the case, but care must be taken when using the camera at the REAR of the iPad, as the hole on the case is slightly offset and may obscure the lens slightly. All the buttons on the sides of the iPad are accessible. I have 3 problems with this otherwise beautiful case (hence the 3 star rating): the first is there are a couple of small imperfections with the workmanship, but I can't really complain given that I didn't pay the full price of £49.95. Also, note that in the photo that shows the iPad propped up in the case has been "doctored" to remove a small flap that flops over the screen. This is the magnetic latch that clicks into place when you close the case, and it can be seen in one of the other photos on the amazon listing. My BIG problem however, is that the interior design of the case WON'T allow me to use fingerprint recognition to start up my iPad, as the "Home" button is partially covered.

Brilliant case!
Having treated myself to a new iPad Pro the first thing I wanted to get to protect my new iPad was a case. The original Apple iPad cases are good BUT they don't fully protect your iPad especially the edges or back of the iPad.I turned to Amazon to do my research and hopefully make my purchase. After reading several reviews I made my choice and when the case arrived I wasn't disappointed. The quality was so much better than I expected, the level of finish, look and feel was amazing and when my iPad slotted in it looked secure and sturdy. My wife has an iPad Air 2 and the case she has is no where near the quality of this so much so I think that a Valentines gift of a new case will be made for her.In total you will not be disappointed or let down by the case.

Love the stand on the design
Love the stand on the design. Only fault which is minor as this is a great product is that the iPad is slightly off from the point you use the home button but it isn’t so much that it can’t be used. Lovely feeling product, looks great. Love that when you have the iPad on the side and using the stand that the securing tag folds backwards and the magnet holds in place away from the screen.
