They’re okay but i feel they could snap very easily, not as sturdy as other ones I’ve bought before

I cant remember when I first started to need glasses for reading, but probably ten to twenty years ago. They have now become absolutely essential for work and leisure. I spend most of the day every day wearing these glasses.In the past I would buy ready made glasses from the usual places, like Boots and M&S. But they would always break after a very short time. I assumed that it was because I just couldnt look after them properly, and reading glasses were just fragile. I even started buying a dozen at a time from Poundland, because they were going to break anyway, so I may as well buy the cheapest I could get. I would have been happy to pay a lot of money for a pair that I knew would last.When I bought these glasses they seemed to be reasonably priced at £18 for five pairs. I hadnt really expected them to last any time, as that was just how it is with off the shelf reading glasses I thought. But I have had them almost a year now, using three different pairs dotted around the house. Amazingly, none have shown any sign of wear or breaking at all.As for performance and aesthetics - they seem to do the job just fine, and they look pretty smart. So if the time ever comes, I will certainly buy again.

A couple of months ago I purchased 3 pairs of cheap readers, at approx the same price as these, in a "bargain bin" at Tescos. They didn't have spring hinges, seemed on the small side, and creaked and groaned when I put them on my "big" head. Two weeks ago, within a week, the left leg broke on all three pairs.So I said to myself, no more cheap rubbish, it's a waste of time to keep buying new ones.I checked out Amazon to see what was available. I was amazed to find these five pairs for the price. I had to buy something else, to push the order over £20, and get the free postage, but it wasn't difficult to find something else I needed.Anyhoo, they arrived in 3 days. Excellent service. Yes, they have spring hinges, but the plastic frames are more sturdy than the cheap Tesco ones anyway, so the plastic doesn't groan like the others when I put them on. And the hinges are perfect for multiple on / off manoeuvres during use. They feel reassuringly well made. And the lenses feel secure in the frames, unlike the others, when I clean them.To get a tinted pair for reading in sunlight is a nice touch - a fine complement to my Kindle Paperwhite.Only time will tell how long they last, but I felt that, although I've only used two of the pairs, if I didn't review them now, I never would. I think they'll last a long time.Unlike a previous reviewer, I'm more comfortable with these on my nose for a long time, rather than the kind with the individual "feet", which dig into the sides of my nose, leaving indentations.So, as you can see, I'm a happy bunny with these glasses.

They do what I need them to do and the reading Sunglasses 🕶 are great when using the Works phone to book in Cars on a sunny day mind you it Scotland 😂

Super reading glasses. I now have a pair in every room. Saves looking for them. Very pleased

I have just purchased these glasses in the last few days so I can't comment on the longer term reliability. However, I have been used to purchasing cheap reading glasses from Wilkinson's but got fed up having to replace them every couple of months when one of the arms broke at the hinge, always the same problem. These Eyekepper glasses seem a stronger at the hinge point so hopefully they will last a lot longer. If so then they will be great value for money, with a pair of sunglasses included, what's not to like.

The glasses are good quality, great to have so many spares.
