You have to wonder about Amazon's stock control
I bought this last year and it worked brilliantly; I didn't have any adverse reaction, it was water resistant, it didn't leave my skin looking shadowy white even after encountering a few rainfalls with it on.But the bottle I bought last year expired this year. I was fine with that, as I presumed it would be finished well before the expiry date, so I bought a new bottle this year (2021) once it had finished. The first thing I noticed was that the smell was more of alcohol rather than the very mild scent I was previously used to. It also felt different when I applied it. I did a check and found out that it had been manufactured in 2017 and was well past its expiry date!I would suggest that you check the date on the product via the product code at the back on the bottom when you get it. You can find out how to do this online or by contacting Garnier. Seems a shame that Amazon is selling potentially expired products.

DANGEROUS - do not buy
The sunscreen should be clear but appeared cloudy (see pic next to my half bottle from last summer). When left to settle there was a weird layer on top. I contacted Garnier because it looked wrong, and they told me that this batch (28F501) was produced in 2019 and has a shelf life of 3 years, meaning it is out of date and no longer effective or safe to use. This product should not have been sold. I have contacted the seller to tell them to remove this item from sale. Garnier are no longer making this product sadly, so I guess the seller is trying to get rid of old stock, which is irresponsible.

Decent spf oil
Well, it's an spf oil so.... it's oily. That's to be expected. Forms a good protective barrier and stays put while you're swimming. Good level of sun protection for my quite photo-sensitive skin. Unless I wash it off, my skin does stay quite oily all day. I wouldn't recommend using this on your face though. Unless you want an oily face.

UV protection
Not as good as Golden Protect , but still quite pleased result

This makes me look greasy -- like I've run a 2000 mile marathon
A reasonable amount of sun protection that offers, but not as effective as other physical sunscreens. Being oil based, it doesn't rub in very well. I look very sweaty after using it.

Good product but hard to find
Always use this but doesn't seem to be on the high street in my area. Thank goodness for Amazon 😃
